Walkthrough

Ceristrasz sends you back to Wyrmrest Temple, telling you that you’ve “proved that you’re to be trusted and more.” This is the payoff for the three-quest gauntlet at the Ruby Dragonshrine: you’ve held the canyons, buried the fallen, killed the necromancers, and freed Dahlia Suntouch.

The dragons’ test is complete.

Tariolstrasz greets you warmly: “Back so soon? Ceristrasz sent word ahead of you. Thank you for what you did at the Ruby Dragonshrine.” The fact that Ceristrasz communicated ahead of your arrival means the red dragonflight has been watching and evaluating your performance.

You’ve earned the trust that was withheld back in Speak with your Ambassador.

Getting There

• Fly or ride back to Wyrmrest Temple from the Ruby Dragonshrine. If you picked up the Wyrmrest flight path earlier (as recommended), this is a short flight.
• Tariolstrasz is on the ground floor of Wyrmrest Temple, western side, at approximately [58, 54]. Same NPC you spoke with during Gaining an Audience.

Tips

• Turn in the Ruby Brooch side quest first. If you looted the Ruby Brooch from Dahlia Suntouch during Through Fields of Flame, you can turn in The Fate of the Ruby Dragonshrine to Krasus in the Ruling Council Chamber (top level of Wyrmrest Temple, accessible via the center platform) before speaking with Tariolstrasz. Both are at the same temple, so handle the side quest while you’re here.

Lore Context

This quest mirrors Speak with your Ambassador from earlier in the chain: both are simple “talk to Tariolstrasz” quests at Wyrmrest Temple. But the tone is completely different.

The first time, Tariolstrasz was cautious, holding Modera’s letter and sending you to prove yourself. Now he’s thanking you. The structure of the chain deliberately makes you earn your way from outsider to trusted ally.

Ceristrasz “sending word ahead” is a subtle but important detail. Dragons communicate through their own channels, and Ceristrasz personally vouched for you. In dragon society, where trust is extended reluctantly to the “young races,” this endorsement carries real weight.
