Main Locations
Highland Mustang Pack Farming (AoE Paradise)
- Location: Three major spawn points in northern Grizzly Hills
- One pack set of Highland Mustang mobs is located at (56.2, 32.6) and (62.8, 32.8)
- Two packs of Highland Mustang mobs are located at (59.2, 26.6)
- Skin them for Arctic Fur and Borean Leather
- Why It Works: Packs average nine horses, great for AoE classes (Mages, Death Knights, Paladins, Druids), and they’re rich in Arctic Fur and Borean Leather. With roughly a 1% Arctic Fur chance per skin, a full nine-horse pack gives you close to a 9% shot at an Arctic Fur, on top of steady Borean Leather.
- Fast kills and tight clustering make this a clean skinning loop on rotation.
Herb Routes: Tiger Lily, Goldclover, and Border Talandra’s Rose
- Tiger Lily lines the zone’s waterways, and Grizzly Hills is nothing but waterways: follow any river and the spawns chain themselves into a route.
- Goldclover fills the open grasslands between the treelines, so weaving from riverbank to clearing keeps both herbs flowing on one loop.
- Along the western Zul’Drak border, Talandra’s Rose spawns spill over from its home zone, letting you sample the higher-tier herb without leaving the Hills. Every pick here carries a Deadnettle bonus chance, which feeds the Inscription market on top of your primary haul.

- Strong ROI: High demand in early-to-mid expansion for Engineering, Jewelcrafting, and Blacksmithing.
- Cobalt veins are spread throughout the zone, with less mining pressure than the starter zones early on.
Glacial Salmon Fishing
- Location: Inland rivers across Grizzly Hills are filled with Glacial Salmon schools, a key Fish Feast ingredient.
- Fish Feast is the highest-tier raid buff food. Grizzly Hills remains the best locale for consistent salmon fishing.

Eternal Air and Earth Farming
- Eternal Air Location: Eternal Air spawn point in eastern Grizzly Hills at (75.8, 56)
- Kill Lightning Sentry elementals for Crystallized Air
- They place Charged Sentry Totems in combat. Destroy these quickly.
- Eternal Earth Location: Good Eternal Earth spawn points are at (65.4, 23) in northeastern Grizzly Hills (south of Thor Modan), and (76.8, 59.2) in southeastern Grizzly Hills.
- Kill Runic Battle Golem mobs for Crystallized Earth at the northeastern spot
- Kill Runic War Golem mobs for Crystallized Earth at the southeastern spot
- These materials are needed for mid-expansion crafting and are always in demand.
Profession Pairings
- Skinning + Herbalism: Mustang packs drop fur and leather, and herb nodes are dense throughout the zone. You’re always farming one or the other.
- Mining + Herbalism: Cobalt veins are spread across Grizzly Hills with less competition than starter zones, and herbs fill the gaps between nodes.
Market Timing
- Arctic Fur: Leatherworkers craft 6 Borean Leather into 1 Heavy Borean Leather, and from patch 3.3.0, 10 Heavy trade for 1 Arctic Fur in Dalaran, an effective 60:1 floor under raw leather prices. Leatherworking recipes keep demand steady on top of it.
- Glacial Salmon: This is the Grizzly Hills fishing target. Fish Feasts are the top raid food all expansion, so Glacial Salmon holds value through every content phase.
- Herbs: Inscription keeps herb demand constant, and Grizzly Hills nodes drop Deadnettle as a bonus alongside primary herbs.
- Cobalt Ore: sells high early during the profession rush. Don’t sit on it.
Farming Strategy
AoE classes have a real edge on the Mustang packs because of the tight clustering. Run the packs in a loop and gather herbs and ore between respawns so you’re never standing idle.
Gathering Circuits
Grizzly Hills feeds two cross-zone routes. The herb circuit runs Grizzly Hills → Zul’Drak border (for Talandra’s Rose) → Dragonblight → back. The Fish Feast circuit chains all three feast fish: Glacial Salmon here, Musselback Sculpin in Borean Tundra, Nettlefish in Sholazar Basin.
