Walkthrough

• The Strange Mojo drops from the Sseratus followers (Champions, Priests, Snake Handlers) around the Altar of Sseratus [40, 49]. If you’re doing Mopping Up or Argent Crusade, We Are Leaving!, you’ll likely loot it during those quests.
• The item should drop quickly, often on the first kill.
• Right-click the Strange Mojo in your inventory to accept the quest, then head back to the Argent Stand and turn it in to Hexxer Ubungo, the Zandalari troll on the structure.

Efficiency Tips

• Don’t overlook this item. It’s the single most important quest starter in Zul’Drak. Without it, over 20 quests in the zone remain locked, and you’ll be stuck well short of The Empire of Zul’Drak achievement (100 quests).
• If you accidentally destroy or abandon the quest, return to the Altar of Sseratus and kill more trolls. It will drop again.
• After turning in, pick up Precious Elemental Fluids from Ubungo (next quest in chain) and The Drakkari Do Not Need Water Elementals! from Sub-Lieutenant Jax nearby.

Lore Context

Ubungo identifies the mojo as belonging to the “wild gods,” the Drakkari loa. This is your first concrete evidence that the Drakkari are harvesting power from their own gods, setting up the zone’s central tragedy: the systematic sacrifice of the loa Sseratus, Rhunok, Quetz’lun, Mam’toth, and Akali in a desperate bid to fight the Scourge.

The chain that starts here is the emotional core of Zul’Drak, eventually leading through the Har’koa questline, the loa mercy killings, and ultimately the dungeon Gundrak, where you face the corrupted prophets who consumed their gods’ power.
