Walkthrough

Finding the Soldiers

• Head north from Stackhammer into the area around the Altar of Sseratus. The Argent Soldiers you need are the ones actively fighting Sseratus followers (Champions of Sseratus, Priests of Sseratus, Drakkari Snake Handlers). Soldiers standing around the quest giver area don’t count.

Freeing Them from Combat

• You cannot speak to a soldier while they’re in combat. Kill the troll attacking them first, then interact.
• The trolls are stronger than the soldiers and will kill them if you don’t intervene quickly. Prioritize getting to soldiers who are at low health.
• If a soldier dies before you can talk to them, move on. More will respawn.
• After speaking to a soldier, they’ll confirm receipt of the orders and you’ll get credit.

Efficiency Tips

• Pick up Mopping Up from Corporal Maga (standing near Stackhammer) before heading out. It requires killing 10 Sseratus followers, which you’ll be doing anyway while freeing soldiers. Both quests complete simultaneously with zero extra effort.
• Turn in both quests to their respective NPCs at [40, 48] when done. Stackhammer’s completion dialogue teases the Prophet of Sseratus and the growing threat at the altar, foreshadowing the dungeon storyline in Gundrak.

Easter Eggs

• Quest Title (Aliens): The title references Corporal Hicks’s line from Aliens (1986): “Drake, we are LEAVING!” shouted during the chaotic retreat from the xenomorph hive. Blizzard used this same reference in the Violet Hold dungeon, where Lieutenant Sinclari says “Prison guards, we are leaving!”
• Soldier Dialogue (Escape from New York): Some soldiers will say “Aren’t you [Name]? I’d heard you were dead!” This closely mirrors the running gag from Escape from New York (1981), where nearly every character tells Snake Plissken “I heard you were dead.” Particularly fitting for Forsaken players.
