The avenue wound north through Zul’Drak’s ruins. Drakkari patrols kept their distance. Perhaps they had larger concerns than one night elf with a sealed scroll.
Stackhammer was where Kunz said he’d be, holding position near the Altar of Sseratus with a handful of troops. The dwarf sergeant eyed the orders in my hand with the wariness of someone who’d learned that new orders rarely meant good news.
“Are those for me?”
I handed them over. Whatever they contained, it wasn’t my concern.
Stackhammer broke the seal, read the orders, and his jaw tightened. Whatever Kunz wrote is pulling the Argent forces back from the altar, and the reason turns out to be worse than staying in Argent Crusade, We Are Leaving!
