The Drakkari Do Not Need Water Elementals!

The Drakkari Do Not Need Water Elementals!

Alliance • Zul'Drak • Level 77 • Drak'Sotra Fields
Kill 10 Drakkari Water Binders in the Drak'Sotra Fields, south of the Argent Stand.
Straight kill quest. Water Binders are Drakkari shaman in the flooded terrace area. Often accompanied by Crazed Water Spirits. Pair with Precious Elemental Fluids (water elemental drops in the same fields) and Something for the Pain (poppies nearby). All three quests share the same area for a single efficient sweep.
Vikstone's Classic Expedition
Every binder who died was one elemental the troll army would never get to use. Vikstone killed ten before they could finish their spells, and the half-formed elementals collapsed back into ordinary water.

“Intelligence reports that ever since those water elementals appeared in the Drak’Sotra Fields, a number of Drakkari shaman have come down from the upper tiers of Zul’Drak to take control of them. I cannot stress enough, sir, how dangerous that could prove. We do not want them to have water elementals at their disposal.

The commander has ordered that these Drakkari water binders are to be put to the sword. Head south when you’re ready.”

-Sub-Lieutenant Jax

Quick Facts

Walkthrough

  • Pick up this quest from Sub-Lieutenant Jax at the southwestern end of the Argent Stand.
  • Head south to the Drak’Sotra Fields, the waterlogged area between the Argent Stand and the southern troll ruins. The Water Binders are Drakkari shaman who have come down from the upper tiers to take control of the water elementals that spawned in the fields.
  • Kill 10 Water Binders. That’s it. No collecting items from their elementals; this is a straight kill quest.

Sub-Lieutenant Jax had received intelligence that Drakkari shaman were coming down from the upper tiers to bind the water elementals in Drak’Sotra Fields. “We do not want them to have water elementals at their disposal,” she said. “The commander has ordered these water binders put to the sword.”

I found them in the flooded fields, working their magic over pools where the elementals drifted. The binders died before they could complete their bindings. Their half-formed elementals collapsed back into ordinary water.

Simple work. Kill the shaman before they finish their spells. Don’t let them add elementals to the Drakkari arsenal.

“Excellent work,” Jax said when I reported back. “I’ll see to it that the commander is apprised.”

Something stranger is happening at the Altar of Sseratus. The mojo the dead trolls carry there has properties that don’t belong in nature in Strange Mojo.
