Objective: Speak with Eadric the Pure inside the Argent Pavilion to be introduced to the Argent Crusade’s grand champion and unlock Champion-level daily quests.

Walkthrough

• After turning in A Champion Rises to Justicar Mariel Trueheart, she immediately offers this quest.
• Eadric the Pure is inside the same Argent Pavilion tent. Turn left from Mariel and head further into the tent to find him at approximately [70, 23].
• Speak with Eadric to complete the quest. He introduces himself as the Argent Crusade’s grand champion and explains he coordinates champion training exercises and tournament ground defenses.
• On turn-in, the four Champion-level daily quests become available from Eadric and his associated NPCs (Cellian Daybreak, Luuri):
  • Among the Champions (jousting for Marks of the Champion)
  • Taking Battle To The Enemy (kill 15 Cult of the Damned)
  • Battle Before The Citadel (mounted combat vs. Boneguard Commanders)
  • Threat From Above (group quest, kill Chillmaw; also requires completing The Black Knight’s Fall)

Death Knight Alternative

Death Knights receive a parallel quest called The Scourgebane instead, directing them to Crok Scourgebane of the Knights of the Ebon Blade, camped on the north side of the tournament grounds, west of the tent housing the Alliance delegations, near [73.8, 20.1].

Their dailies come from Crok Scourgebane, Illyrie Nightfall, and Zor’be the Bloodletter, mirroring Eadric, Cellian Daybreak, and Luuri. Mechanically identical, but they award Knights of the Ebon Blade reputation instead of Argent Crusade.

This reflects death knights’ closer allegiance to the Ebon Blade in the WotLK narrative.

Efficiency Tips

• This is a zero-travel quest. Mariel and Eadric are in the same building, maybe 15 yards apart. Accept and turn in immediately.
• Once Eadric’s dailies are unlocked, they remain available permanently as long as you hold Champion rank with at least one city. You do not need to re-unlock them when championing additional cities.

Lore & Secrets

Eadric the Pure

Eadric serves as the Argent Crusade’s grand champion at the tournament, overseeing training and defense coordination. He is described as deeply devout and earnest in his faith.

He also appears as one of two random second bosses in the Trial of the Champion dungeon (the other being Argent Confessor Paletress). In the dungeon, he serves as a sparring partner for the player champions rather than an actual enemy.

His signature mechanic is Radiance (a blinding light that must be countered by facing away) and Hammer of the Righteous (a thrown hammer that can be caught and thrown back at him for massive damage).

Cross-Expansion Connections

• Legion: After Tirion Fordring’s death, Eadric joined the reformed Silver Hand and serves as a quartermaster in the Sanctum of Light beneath Light’s Hope Chapel.
• Shadowlands: During the Death Rising pre-launch event, Eadric defended the chapel at the Argent Tournament Grounds against the Mawsworn assault.
