“Based on your report, and my knowledge of the Cult, they have an overseer managing the operation of each encampment on the gate. While taking their leaders down will only be a temporary setback, it will at least slow them down and keep them off-balance.
And that, Night Elf, is a worthy enough goal for now. Seek out these overseers and return to me when they have been dispatched.”
-Thassarian

Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Each Overseer manages one of the four Cult encampments spread across Aldur’thar. They are non-elite named NPCs surrounded by Cult guards. The Overseers themselves are not particularly dangerous, but the surrounding cultist packs have a wide aggro range and include casters that can chain-pull if you are not careful.
| Overseer | Coordinates | Location Description |
|---|---|---|
| Overseer Savryn | [49, 31] | Western encampment, inside a large tent in the corner. Described as a rogue-type NPC. |
| Overseer Veraj | [53, 28] | Eastern side, near the large green summoning circle, up the stairs. |
| Overseer Jhaeqon | [54, 32] | Central area, inside a large tent on the right side. |
| Overseer Faedris | [53, 47] | Southern area, inside the third tent from the top. |
Approach Strategy

Lore Context
Both Thassarian and Koltira acknowledge that killing the Overseers is only a “temporary setback” and that the Cult will replace them quickly. The completion text drives it home further: “Don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back. They’ll have those overseers replaced in no time.”
This honesty is characteristic of Thassarian and Koltira’s no-nonsense approach throughout the Icecrown campaign. They are not selling you heroism; they are buying time.

Vikstone's War Journal“Based on your report, and my knowledge of the Cult, they have an overseer managing the operation of each encampment on the gate,” Thassarian said. “While taking their leaders down will only be a temporary setback, it will at least slow them down and keep them off-balance. And that, night elf, is a worthy enough goal for now. Seek out these overseers and return to me when they have been dispatched.”

I flew that gate for him three days ago and named what I saw, and both errands since have come out of my own mouth.
Faedris ran her camp from a platform with her dead shuffling below it. I came up the slope faster than her shades could react and the Destroyer scattered them. She was quick with a blade and it did not matter at that range.
Jhaeqon had chosen his ground and committed everything to one overhead, and I let it go past and came around into the open side.
Veraj was shadow and summoned guards and needed a moment he did not get.
Savryn used the ruins and stayed mobile and threw curses from range, which is the correct way to fight me, and she managed it for a while.
None of them was the difficulty. The camps were. Four encampments, each with its own packs, and the overseer standing in the middle of his people wearing better boots than any of them.
“Well done, night elf. But don’t break your arm patting yourself on the back. They’ll have those overseers replaced in no time…”
Something brewed that the Ebon Blade wanted to be certain nobody could ever brew again, which is why the next report came back marked Cannot Reproduce.
