Quick Facts
Walkthrough
This is a 30-second errand quest. Pick up, walk, burn, done.
Prigmon explains the practical reason: dead trolls near Drak’Tharon Keep must be burned or the Scourge will raise them as undead. Mack Fearsen handles the burning, though he’s clearly been handling some grog as well.
Why This Quest Matters
Don’t skip this despite how trivial it seems. Scourgekabob is the gate to Seared Scourge (burn 20 Famished Scourge Trolls near Drak’Tharon with Mack’s flammable grog), which is the prerequisite for Search and Rescue, a dungeon quest inside Drak’Tharon Keep.
Search and Rescue unlocks Head Games (use a quest item on the second boss Novos the Summoner’s corpse). Skipping Scourgekabob locks you out of two dungeon quests’ worth of XP and rewards.

Vikstone's War JournalPrigmon was wrapping corpses.

“Wrappin’ up these unfortunate trolls be makin’ my heart ache,” he said, straightening with a wince, “but not so much as my back! Help ol’ Prigmon out and haul one of these carcasses over to Mack. If we don’t burn ’em they be walkin’ again in no time.”
I hefted the wrapped mummy. It was exactly as heavy and foul-smelling as expected.
Mack Fearsen sat by his fire, clearly several drinks into the evening. He brightened when he saw me coming.
“Nothin’ better than watchin’ them shcourge burn,” he slurred. “Hic. Wrote a little shong about it. Wanna hear it? Here goes….”
I tossed the corpse onto the flames.
“Shcourged trooolls roashting…” Mack sang, swaying slightly. “…on an open fire…..”
He belched.
“That’s it! Far as I got.”
The mummy crackled and burned. Mack hummed tunelessly, poking at the embers with a stick. Somewhere in Northrend, the war against the Lich King raged on. Here, a drunk man sang holiday songs to burning corpses.
The mummy burned, and Mack sang. Meanwhile, Prigmon has another request involving mushrooms in Shimmercap Stew.
