“Orc women… they just don’t lissen – hic. Know what I mean, Night Elf? Kurzel’s been with us fer years. You’d think she’d get a feel fer how we do things by now. Lure the fools in fer the dangerous work, then reap the rewards when it’s safe. What’s so hard to understand? Not her though… impatient green-skin goes off and takes matters into her own hands.
Probably dead by now, but I’d feel horrible if we didn’t follow after her, and I’m in no shape to do it myself – hic.
So whatdya say, pal?”

Pick up before entering Drak’Tharon Keep:
Walkthrough
Step 1: Enter Drak’Tharon Keep
The instance entrance is at [17.7, 23.2] in northern Grizzly Hills, on the border with Zul’Drak. The meeting stone is at the top of the grand staircase outside.
Step 2: Find Kurzel in the Spider Room
Kurzel is located in the spider room (officially called the area between the Warlord’s Terrace and the Temple of the Forgotten), which you reach after passing through the first boss Trollgore’s area. The dungeon route goes: Trollgore → right passage → spider room.
Step 3: Turn In and Get Head Games
Talk to Kurzel to complete Search and Rescue. She immediately offers Head Games:
Lore Context
Mack’s quest text reveals the dynamic at Granite Springs. He’s a schemer: “Lure the fools in fer the dangerous work, then reap the rewards when it’s safe.” Kurzel, an orc woman who’s been with his crew for years, got tired of waiting and stormed Drak’Tharon Keep alone.
Mack grudgingly admits he’d “feel horrible” if they didn’t go after her, but he’s “in no shape to do it myself” (drunk, as always).
Kurzel’s response when freed is pure contempt for her companions: “Even my going missing wasn’t enough to get those spineless weasels to come in here after me. Well, they sent you. I suppose that’s something.” She gives the reward to you rather than letting “those dimwits back at camp” have it.
For Head Games, Kurzel’s plan is psychological warfare against Mack’s crew. She wants you to bring the ichor-stained cloth back to camp so “the boys have stewed in their guilt for a while.” Then she’ll show up alive to teach them a lesson about “letting a lady wander off alone.”
Kurzel is a cross-expansion character. She first appears as a quest NPC in Ghostlands (TBC). In Cataclysm, she joins the treasure-hunting caravan that travels from Tanaris to Uldum (the same caravan as Harkor and Harrison Jones). After being captured by pygmies and rescued by the player, she becomes the flight master for Ramkahen [56.3, 33.6] in Uldum.
From spider-wrapped captive in a Northrend dungeon to running a flight service in the desert. She also becomes a flight master in Ramkahen and Vision of the Twisting Sands in Battle for Azeroth.

Vikstone's War JournalMack’s words slurred but his meaning was clear enough.

“Kurzel’s been with us fer years. You’d think she’d get a feel fer how we do things by now. Lure the fools in fer the dangerous work, then reap the rewards when it’s safe.” He shrugged. “Not her though. Impatient green-skin goes off and takes matters into her own hands.”
So that was how Mack’s crew operated. Let others bleed, then collect. Kurzel had gotten tired of waiting.
I found her in Drak’Tharon’s depths, wrapped in spider silk but very much alive.
“Even my going missing wasn’t enough to get those spineless weasels to come in here after me.” She spat webbing from her mouth. “Well, they sent you. I suppose that’s something.”
“Here.” She shoved a reward into my pack. “I’d rather it go to you than to those dimwits back at camp.”
Kurzel had my respect. Most would have died in those webs. She’d just gotten angry.
Kurzel is free and furious. She has a plan involving spider ichor, a dead lich’s corpse, and psychological warfare against the crew that abandoned her, all of which plays out in Head Games.
