Use the Toalu’u’s Spiritual Incense on the brazier located just outside Toalu’u’s hut at Moa’ki Harbor. This triggers an automated spectral flight that carries your spirit northwest over Indu’le Village. The flight takes roughly 3 minutes and cannot be sped up or canceled (the buff cannot be clicked off). Sit back and enjoy the narration, or grab a drink.
During the flight, Toalu’u whispers commentary as you survey the devastation:
After the flight ends, speak with Toalu’u to complete the quest. You’ll receive the Honorless Target buff upon landing, suggesting Blizzard anticipated players going AFK during the ride.
Possible Skip Exploit
Being in a shapeshift form or mounted when using the incense can cause the quest to auto-complete instantly. The game tries to put you on a taxi flight path, but since shapeshifted/mounted characters can’t take taxis, it errors out and flags the quest objective as done:
These are reported workarounds and may or may not work in WotLK Classic. If the skip doesn’t trigger, just dismount/unshift and use the incense normally.
Troubleshooting
Lore Context: What Happened to Indu’le Village?
Indu’le Village was a Kalu’ak tuskarr settlement northwest of Moa’ki Harbor. The village was destroyed when arcane energies erupted from the ley lines running beneath Lake Indu’le.
Tuskarr who weren’t killed outright became either ghosts or deranged survivors driven mad by the chaotic magic.
The ley line disruption is tied to the Nexus War, Malygos’s campaign to redirect all arcane magic through the Nexus in Coldarra. The blue dragonflight’s ley line manipulation caused catastrophic damage across Northrend, and Indu’le Village was one of the casualties.
A separate quest chain from Stars’ Rest (Search Indu’le Village) reveals that blue dragonflight mage hunters were operating in the area and were themselves killed by elementals that arose from the ruptured lake bed.
This chain progresses through Elder Mana’loa (a tuskarr ancestral spirit/statue who witnessed the destruction) and ultimately leads to Conversing With the Depths, which awards a substantial 1,000 Kalu’ak reputation.

Toalu’u the Mystic had been praying since the ground shook and the prayers hadn’t been answered.
“Have you ever been upon a vision quest? You’ve bested Loguhn, so you must be capable.” He held out a small pouch. “I will give you a special incense to sprinkle into my brazier. Breathe deep from its vapors and your spirit will be sent aloft to view what has transpired at Indu’le. As your spirit soars, I will be able to look through your eyes.”
I’d been to Indu’le Village during the ley line investigation, found the mage hunters dead in the lake, killed by elementals they’d accidentally summoned. But the tuskarr who lived there…
I knelt before the brazier and sprinkled the incense.
The smoke rose, thick and sweet, carrying scents I had no names for.
My spirit lifted free.
I rose above Moa’ki Harbor like a wisp of light, climbing until the coast became a ribbon and the sea stretched endlessly beneath me. Then I was moving, pulled toward Indu’le with a purpose that wasn’t entirely my own.
“You’ve successfully freed your spirit,” Toalu’u’s voice whispered through the connection. “You can serve as my eyes. Together we’ll get to the bottom of this.”
The village materialized below. Or what remained of it.
The earth bore deep scars where something had torn through from below. Buildings lay shattered. And among the ruins, drifting like fog that refused to dissipate… ghosts. Tuskarr spirits wandering through their destroyed home, lost between life and whatever came after.
But worse than the ghosts was what moved among them. Shapes that gibbered and writhed between the ruins, feeding on the village’s dead.
The vision released me.
I gasped, finding myself back in Toalu’u’s hut, the incense burned to ash. The mystic was shaking when I opened my own eyes. He’d seen everything I had.
“Ghosts and gibbering madness?” His voice cracked. “This cannot be! We must seek further guidance.”
Whatever had happened at Indu’le Village went deeper than mage hunters and stolen ley lines. Something else was at work here and it fed on more than flesh.
One presence there had seen Vikstone’s spirit and reached for it, because Elder Mana’loa had been standing at the village edge with answers about what tore the place apart.
