When you get to the harpy nesting area, use the control and one of my Shredders should come to you. Gather as much lumber as it can carry.

Use Xink’s Shredder Control Device to call a Shredder once you reach the Harpy Nesting Grounds in the North. Gather 50 Bundles of Lumber from the trees in the area, and then return to Xink at Nozzlerust Post. Should you lose Xink’s Shredder Control Device, speak to Xink at Nozzlerust Post to obtain a new one.

Story Context
Xink needs lumber for Alliance towers being built in the region. He notes the thin trees to the south aren’t sturdy enough, so he sends you into the harpy nesting grounds to harvest their trees instead.
The harpies, naturally, object to having their homes chopped down. Xink’s completion quote is a gem: “If a tree falls in the forest, and you can’t hear it through the saw blade, does it really make a sound?”

Of course. The better lumber was in harpy territory.
“When you get to the harpy nesting area, use the control and one of my shredders should come to you. Gather as much lumber as it can carry.” He waved dismissively. “The harpies are sure to disagree with you chopping down their homes. Just deal with them as necessary. Hop to it!”
The shredder answered the device’s call with a grinding roar of gears and steam. I’d declined it for the Mistress, but for logging? The machine was built for this.
I guided it through the nesting grounds, its massive saw blades biting into trunk after trunk. The harpies screamed and dove, furious at the destruction of their roosts. I kept them off the shredder with my axe while it worked, lumber piling up with every felled tree.
Fifty bundles. The harpy nesting grounds looked considerably more sparse by the time I finished.
Xink was distracted when I returned, scanning the horizon. “Where’s that carrier? Hope the jormungar didn’t get him. He was carrying a good sized load that time.”
Not even a glance at the lumber I’d hauled back. Just worry about the next shipment. Alliance towers would rise on wood cut from harpy homes. War required strange supply chains.
Nozzlerust is not finished with Dragonblight, since the next job opens with Stiff Negotiations.
