“Well it seems you were of a bit of use after all. It’s not been my experience to meet many a Night Elf that are. We don’t have any more use for you here. Head into the Vice and see if my brother Zort could use a hand. He went to see if he could con the giants into laying down their lives so that we don’t have to. He certainly wasn’t known for having the brains in the family.”

Story Context
Narf dismisses: “Well it seems you were of a bit of use after all.” He explains that his brother Zort went into the Crystal Vice to “con the giants into laying down their lives so that we don’t have to,” adding that Zort “certainly wasn’t known for having the brains in the family.”
Given that the next quest involves looting a dead giant, Zort’s “negotiations” clearly didn’t go as planned.
Lore Note
Narf, Zort, and Troz (the three goblins at Nozzlerust Post) are all named after catchphrases of Pinky from the animated series Pinky and the Brain. “Narf!” “Zort!” and “Troz!” are all exclamations Pinky uses throughout the show.
Easter Egg
The quest title “Stiff Negotiations” likely carries a double meaning.
“Stiff” is slang for a dead body. The title is also a reference to Star Wars: Episode I, where Obi-Wan tells Qui-Gon: “You were right about one thing, master… the negotiations were short.”

Vikstone's War Journal“Well, it seems you were of a bit of use after all.” Narf’s version of a compliment. “It’s not been my experience to meet many a night elf that are.”
Charming as ever.

“We don’t have any more use for you here. Head into the Vice and see if my brother Zort could use a hand. He went to see if he could con the giants into laying down their lives so that we don’t have to. He certainly wasn’t known for having the brains in the family.”
The Crystal Vice was northeast, a frozen canyon studded with massive ice formations that caught the weak sunlight and scattered it into rainbows. Beautiful, in the way Northrend sometimes was. And crawling with frost giants.
I found Zort in the heart of the Vice, surrounded by crystalline spires and looking remarkably alive for a goblin who’d been “negotiating” with giants.
“I can think of some uses for you,” he said by way of greeting. “Go ahead and stay for a bit.”
Zort offered no update on the negotiations and showed no sign of caring that his brother had been worried. He’d spotted useful muscle, and that was enough. One Nozzlerust goblin to another. The family resemblance was unmistakable.
Zort’s negotiations plainly went badly and the evidence of it is lying about nearby, which leaves Vikstone the details and the Slim Pickings that go with them.
