Wyrmbane tells you that Bolvar Fordragon himself has given the command to launch a full assault on Thel’zan. The 7th Legion has already pushed into the Mausoleum’s summoning chamber. All they need is you and the phylactery.
Finding the Tunnel Entrance [82, 51]: Wyrmbane’s directions: “There is a tunnel that the Scourge dug out just outside the keep that you can take to get to Yorik quickly.”
From Wyrmbane, head down the ramp east out of Wintergarde Keep, through the ruined village section (where Vengeful Geists roam). After you pass the last town walls (not the keep walls), look immediately to your right (south).
The tunnel entrance is a greenish hole in the ground marked by torches, in a ditch. If you reach the large graveyard statue (Spirit Healer location), you’ve gone slightly too far; the tunnel is just northwest of it.
Enter the tunnel. Yorik is right inside. Speak with him to turn in the quest. He says: “When you’re ready I’ll place the phylactery out in front of the gateway and call forth Thel’zan.”
IMPORTANT: This quest contains no combat. You are delivering the phylactery. The fight against Thel’zan occurs in the follow-up quest, An End And A Beginning. Do not accept that quest until you are ready for a scripted boss encounter.

Wyrmbane’s Briefing: Bolvar Takes Command
Wyrmbane’s quest text carries the weight of everything that’s happened: “Thanks to your heroics, Lord Fordragon has given the command to launch a full assault against Thel’zan.”
This is the first time Bolvar Fordragon has been directly invoked in this chain. Until now, the operation has been run by Wyrmbane’s subordinates: Foehammer, Cash, Tyralion. The fact that Bolvar himself is issuing orders signals that this has escalated beyond a local siege operation.
Wyrmbane describes what the 7th Legion found inside: “a gateway to hell.” The summoning chamber deep in the Mausoleum contains some kind of portal connected to the Scourge, and Thel’zan has been using it as his sanctum.
“The Only Piece That’s Missing Now Is You”
This line is the culmination of the entire nine-quest chain. You arrived at Thorson’s Post, parachuted into the Carrion Fields, fought through the Mausoleum, learned about Plunderbeard’s death, discovered the Inigo Montoy betrayal, tracked the phylactery to a frostwyrm, killed Icestorm, and recovered the phylactery.
Now you carry the one object that makes Thel’zan killable. Yorik’s relief when you arrive says it all: “We thought you might not show up.”
The Title: Finality
After nine quests of investigation, infiltration, and pursuit, the chain reaches its conclusion not with a battle, but with a moment of anticipation. You hand Yorik the phylactery. Everything is in place.
What comes next is An End And A Beginning.

“Lord Fordragon has given the command,” he said. “Full assault against Thel’zan the Duskbringer. The 7th Legion have made their way into the summoning chamber of the mausoleum and located what appears to be a gateway to hell. The only piece that’s missing now is you. Go. Lead us to victory.”
I took the Scourge tunnel. It was faster than fighting through the mausoleum’s upper levels, though no less grim. The passage opened into a chamber of dark energy, its walls held runes that hurt to look at directly. Legion soldiers lined the perimeter, weapons ready, faces set.
Legion Commander Yorik stood near an archway. He let out a breath when he saw me.
“We thought you might not show up.” He held out his hand for the phylactery. I passed it over. The vessel was cold with malice. Yorik weighed it in his palm.
“When you’re ready,” he said, “I’ll place the phylactery in front of the gateway and call forth Thel’zan.”
I nodded. Ready as I’d ever be.
Yorik set the phylactery down before the gateway, and when Thel’zan came out of it Bolvar would be standing there to call him by the name he had before, which for the man who returned Kel’Thuzad’s phylactery is An End And A Beginning at the same time.
