How to Complete

Enter the Farshire Mine at [56.7, 57.3]. You don’t need to go deep into the mine. William Allerton’s body is located just inside the entrance on the left. Simply approach the corpse to complete the quest.

Troubleshooting

If the quest doesn’t complete when you approach:

• Make sure you have the quest active in your log.
• The corpse should auto-complete the quest when you get close enough, no interaction required.

Lore Context

• Leryssa explains her desperate situation: “I recently received word from William Allerton, a family friend, that my brother enlisted here in Valiance Keep on the same day he did. Thing is… my brother’s been dead for years.”
• She’s been stonewalled by local bureaucracy and even threatened with arrest for snooping around. Whatever happened to Thassarian, someone doesn’t want it investigated.
• When you find Allerton’s corpse, the completion text notes: “The corpse matches the description that Leryssa gave you of William Allerton. Oddly enough, there are no bite or claw marks on him.” The mine is full of ghouls, but William wasn’t killed by the undead. Someone murdered him to keep him quiet.
