Walkthrough

• This quest is acquired automatically when you examine the Plagued Grain during the previous quest.
• Simply return to Gerald Green at Farshire [58, 62] to report your findings.
• No combat or collection required.

Lore Context

• The quest description reveals the grim truth: “The sacks of grain emanate the foul stench you’ve come to associate with the Plague. This probably explains what happened to the footmen defending the mine.”
• The soldiers sent to protect Farshire didn’t fall to a direct Scourge assault. They were poisoned by plagued grain, then rose as undead to serve the Lich King.
• Gerald Green’s reaction confirms this was deliberate sabotage: “This sure sounds like an inside job. Probably a Cult of the Damned infiltrator. Curse those madmen!”

Historical Echo
