He pointed toward the mine. The burning building next to it, to be specific.
The heat hit before I reached the doorway. Smoke thick, flames eating through the rafters. I found the book on the floor near the workbench. “Fields, Factories and Workshops.” The cover was scorched, but the pages held.
Jeremiah’s eyes lit when I handed it over. “Excellent! The information I need should be in here.”
Jeremiah had his manual back and wanted somebody to find out what a harvest golem does when pointed at something it was never built to harvest, which is all Repurposed Technology really amounts to.
