“I will give you a chance at continued existence. There are fragments of the power that fueled my curse scattered about the altar grounds. It is my desire that you collect some of them for me. Not so many that the curse will be lifted, but enough that I will be able to eventually make use of them to exact revenge upon my prophet.
Go, insect. Run and do my bidding before I change my mind about letting you live.”

Quetz’lun’s personality shines through in this quest. She calls you “insect,” threatens to kill you if you disobey, and upon turn-in admits she probably won’t even need the fragments. The whole exercise was partly for her amusement. Her progress text also reveals tension with Har’koa, blaming her for not sending help sooner.

Vikstone's War Journal“I will give you a chance at continued existence,” Quetz’lun said. “There are fragments of my curse scattered about the grounds. Collect some for me. Enough that I can use them to exact revenge upon my prophet. Go, insect. Run and do my bidding before I change my mind about letting you live.”

Insect. I’d been called worse by things I’d killed.
The Underworld Power Fragments glowed throughout the altar grounds, pieces of the goddess’s fury made manifest. I collected them while the damned spirits of her former worshippers howled around me, trapped in her eternal punishment.
When I returned, Quetz’lun’s satisfaction was cold.
“What a shame Har’koa didn’t send you sooner. Then again, she and I never did get along. She probably held back your help just long enough for this to happen.” She examined the fragments. “They’ll do. Likely I won’t even need them. But it was fun watching you run around at my command.”
Divine gratitude. Heartwarming.
Quetz’lun admitted she probably didn’t need them. But the next task isn’t for amusement. The foundation of her revenge against the prophet who murdered her requires something far more personal in Foundation for Revenge.
