“Wow! That stuff is nasty. Not to account for gnoll taste or anything, but I figured whatever they had would at least be… edible? Let’s get more creative. Tore’s got an explosive dispenser north of town… not far from the big cavern entrance, can’t miss it. I’m sure she intends them for mining purposes of some sort, but I’ve got a better idea.
Grab one of those things and rush it to one of the nearby mammoths… most of them are to the west. Collect the meat, bring it back.”
-Ricket
Ricket at K3 wants you to retrieve a U.D.E.D, use it to blow up a mammoth, and retrieve 8 Hearty Mammoth Meat.

You will be able to choose one of these rewards:
You will also receive:
Upon completion of this quest you will gain:
Quest Giver: Ricket — K3, The Storm Peaks [41, 86]
Turn In: Ricket — K3
Prerequisites: Expression of Gratitude and Reclaimed Rations must both be completed.
Objective: Grab a U.D.E.D. from Tore Rumblewrench‘s explosive dispenser, use it to blow up a mammoth, and collect 8 Hearty Mammoth Meat.
Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Step 1: Locate mammoths first. Before picking up the bomb, scout the mammoth herds west and north of K3. They roam in packs around [37, 83] and [44, 78]. If the mammoths are dead (from other players), wait for respawns before grabbing a U.D.E.D., or the timer will expire and the bomb detonates on you.
Step 2: Grab the U.D.E.D. Head to the U.D.E.D. Dispenser at [41.6, 80.1], just outside Crystalweb Cavern north of K3. Tore Rumblewrench (head of K3’s mining operations) is standing next to it. The dispenser is a small bouncing chest on the ground.
Stand directly on top of it and right-click to pick up the bomb. It goes into your inventory and starts a countdown of approximately 45 seconds.
Step 3: Rush to a mammoth. Mount up immediately. You can carry the bomb while mounted. Fly or ride to the nearest live mammoth, dismount, target the mammoth, and use the bomb from your bags. The mammoth must be alive. You do not need to damage it first, and the bomb deals no damage to you.
Step 4: Loot the chunks. The mammoth explodes spectacularly into multiple meat chunks scattered around the blast site. Loot the large carcass in the center first, as it can drop 3-4 meat at once. A single mammoth typically yields all 8 Hearty Mammoth Meat you need. If you come up short, return to the dispenser for another bomb.
If the bomb timer expires: You take fire damage (painful but not lethal). Just go back to the dispenser and grab another. The supply is unlimited.

Lore Notes
After tasting the gnoll rations from Reclaimed Rations and finding them revolting, Ricket decides to steal Tore’s mining explosives and blow up a mammoth for fresh (well, instantly well-done) meat instead. She admits the explosives are meant for mining purposes but has “a better idea.”
U.D.E.D. almost certainly stands for “U Dead”, a very goblin abbreviation. The bomb’s timer and self-detonation mechanic drive the joke home.
Tore Rumblewrench is the head of K3’s mining operations, responsible for the Crystalweb Cavern excavation. She’s standing right next to the dispenser and probably not thrilled about Ricket’s “creative” use of her equipment.
D.E.H.T.A. (Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals, the Borean Tundra faction) would have strong feelings about this quest. Thankfully, they’re on the other side of the continent.

Vikstone's War JournalRicket examined the gnoll rations I’d brought and wrinkled her nose.

“Wow! That stuff is nasty. Not to account for gnoll taste or anything, but I figured whatever they had would at least be… edible? Let’s get more creative.”
Her solution: mining explosives repurposed for mammoth hunting.
“Tore’s got an explosive dispenser north of town… not far from the big cavern entrance, can’t miss it. I’m sure she intends them for mining purposes of some sort, but I’ve got a better idea. Grab one of those things and rush it to one of the nearby mammoths… most of them are to the west. Collect the meat, bring it back.”
I collected a U.D.E.D. from Tore’s dispenser. The mammoth had no time to register the threat before the detonation solved the hunting problem permanently. Meat scattered across the snow, pre-portioned by goblin engineering.
When I returned with the haul, Ricket was practically glowing.
“I know my plan was brilliant. Don’t even worry about it. Does it feel good to be in the presence of greatness? A little tingly maybe?” She inspected a chunk of meat. “And it’s already well-done! I outdo myself sometimes. Thanks much, friend!”
