Walkthrough

Soo-rahm is willing to help, but on his terms. His quest text establishes a transactional relationship: “We not know you, stranger, but we know you want something. We will talk to Bones of Nozronn for you, but you must bring us offerings.” Specifically, he needs “powerful emperor cobra fangs to complete our oracle’s necklace.”

Where to find Emperor Cobras: Head northeast from Soo-rahm’s location into the Wildgrowth Mangal, the dense jungle area in central Sholazar between the Suntouched Pillar and Rainspeaker Canopy. Emperor Cobras are level 75-76 serpents found throughout the Mangal.

• Primary area: [42, 64] and [42, 55], where cobras are plentiful alongside Mangal Crocolisks.
• Emperor Cobras are described as “deadly apex predators,” but at quest level they’re standard combat mobs.

Drop rate: The Intact Cobra Fangs are not a guaranteed drop. Reports suggest roughly a 40-50% rate, so expect to kill around 10-12 cobras to collect all 5 fangs. Not the worst grind, but not instant either.

Do Alongside This is one of the best multi-quest stops in the entire Nesingwary chain. The Wildgrowth Mangal is the hub for several quests active at the same time:

• Some Make Lemonade, Some Make Liquor: Collect fruit from Sturdy Vines hanging from trees throughout the Mangal. You’ll be running past vines constantly while hunting cobras.
• Crocolisk Mastery: The Trial: Kill 15 Mangal Crocolisks. Crocs and cobras share the exact same area and you’ll aggro both while working either quest.
• The Great Hunter’s Challenge: Emperor Cobras count toward the 60 game animals. Every cobra kill is pulling double or triple duty.
• Dreadsaber Mastery: Stalking the Prey: The Dreadsaber Tracks at Bittertide Lake are northwest of the Mangal. After finishing your cobra/croc/fruit objectives, swing northwest to examine tracks before returning to Soo-rahm.

Efficiency route: Grab all available Mangal quests before leaving camp. Fly northeast to the Wildgrowth Mangal. Kill Emperor Cobras (fangs) and Mangal Crocolisks (croc mastery) while pulling Sturdy Vines for fruit. All three objectives overlap in the same area. Then fly northwest to Bittertide Lake for Dreadsaber Tracks, then southwest to Soo-rahm at [25, 66] to turn in.

Lore Context

Soo-rahm’s request reveals the spiritual practices of the gorlocs. The fangs aren’t just a fetch-quest MacGuffin. He explicitly says they’re needed “to complete our oracle’s necklace,” meaning these are ritual components used in gorloc divination practices.

After receiving the fangs, Soo-rahm prepares incense for the next quest (The Bones of Nozronn), which allows you to commune with the spirit of an ancient rhino.
