Easter Egg: Monty Python
The quest title is a direct reference to the “Bring out your dead” scene from Monty Python and the Holy Grail (1975), where a plague victim on the corpse cart insists he is not yet dead. Given that Father Kamaros is stranded among the Scourge’s corpse-processing facility, the parallel is intentional. Icecrown has several Monty Python nods, including The Black Knight boss at the Argent Tournament.
Father Kamaros’s Gear
Kamaros wears a combination of the Vestments of Transcendence and Avatar Raiment priest tier sets, and wields Benediction, the legendary priest staff from Classic WoW’s Molten Core. Benediction was removed from the game in Cataclysm when the questline to obtain it was deleted.
Seeing it on an NPC is a small piece of WoW history preserved in the world.

I cannot make it on my own, my child, but with your help, I may yet live to fight the Scourge again. Will you help me make my escape before the Scourge’s butchers come to finish me off?”
I helped him stand.
He knew exactly what he was afraid of. What he did not know was that I had spent the week at the other end of that work.
The climb was slow because he could not go faster than he went. Everything down there comes when something warm goes past, and it came the whole way. He held the Light over both of us when they closed, and when he could not, I stood where he needed me standing.
He went out at the pickup point. I watched him lift clear, which is the first thing I have seen leave that valley whole.
“Thank the Light. I’d thought Father Kamaros dead, or worse. Through your bravery and compassion, you have restored a great ally to the Argent Crusade. You have my thanks and those of the crusade.”
Dead, or worse. Absalan says those like there is distance between them. Down in the Fleshwerks it is one door, and this week I have been through it going both ways.
Blackwatch had nothing left to hand him and the Skybreaker had already lifted, so Vikstone went looking for the next name on the ridge and found it waiting to Eliminate the Competition.
