Objective: Collect 15 Aspirant’s Seals by completing Aspirant daily quests. Return with the seals to prove you’re ready for the Aspirant’s Challenge.

Walkthrough

This quest is a progress gate. You accept it and then spend 3 days doing Aspirant daily quests to accumulate 15 seals. Once you have them, turn in and proceed to the jousting challenge.

The Three Rotating Weapon Quests

Only one of these is available on any given day. They rotate, so you’ll see all three across your 3-day grind. Each awards 2 Aspirant’s Seals.

Efficiency Tips

• Do all 3 dailies every day. 5 seals per day means exactly 3 days to complete. Missing a day extends your timeline.
• The weapon quests send you across Northrend. Budget travel time accordingly. The Edge of Winter in particular requires visiting both Crystalsong Forest and Howling Fjord, which can eat 10+ minutes of flight time on a slow mount.
• Aspirant’s Seals persist if you abandon. If you drop the quest, your collected seals remain in your inventory. You won’t lose progress.
• Aspirant’s Seals have no use after this quest. Once you’ve turned in 15 seals and completed the Aspirant’s Challenge, delete any extras.

Arthurian Legend Easter Eggs

The three rotating weapon quests are loaded with references to Arthurian legend, fitting the tournament’s medieval jousting theme:

• A Blade Fit for a Champion is a combined reference to two Arthurian stories. The quest involves kissing a cursed frog to reveal a maiden who guards a sacred sword beneath a lake. The “maiden cursed as a frog” echoes the Frog Prince fairy tale, while the “Lady of the Lake guarding a fabled sword” is a direct Lady of the Lake/Excalibur reference. The maiden’s dialogue (“And now, I must return to the waters of the lake”) confirms the connection.
• The Edge of Winter involves freeing a maiden encased in ice who guards an ancient blade. This is another Lady of the Lake variant, with the frozen lake serving as the magical barrier protecting the weapon.
• A Worthy Weapon has you presenting flowers at a sword effigy, a ritualistic act that echoes the ceremonial aspects of Arthurian quests for holy relics.

The entire Argent Tournament structure (jousting, champions representing kingdoms, proving worthiness through trials) is built on the framework of Arthurian tournament tradition.
