Quest 3 of 3 in the Feeding the Survivors Chain (Finale)
Both Factions • Howling Fjord • Level 71 • Iskaal
Slay 8 Crazed Northsea Slavers at the ruined village of Iskaal.
Elder Atuik at Kamagua [25, 58]. Head east to Iskaal at [33.8, 63.6]. Slavers are around level 70 and go down quickly. Atuik gives you the Horn of Kamagua, which summons a tuskarr ally on a 5-minute cooldown (only works in Iskaal). Save it for tight pulls rather than using it immediately. If you still need The Staff of Storm's Fury, the ship at Iskaal holds it in the lower hold, but watch for Abdul the Insane on deck. After turning in, pick up Travel to Moa'ki Harbor from Anuniaq in Kamagua before leaving the island.
Vikstone's Classic Expedition
The slavers at Iskaal had lost their minds the same way Sterling and Abdul had, and they fought without skill, without fear, without even recognition of what they were doing. Vikstone never needed the horn.

“The totem of Issliruk is ready, Vikstone, and for that I thank you. We must cast our peaceful ways for the time being and strike at those who’ve attacked our land and our kin. The pirate slavers that raided Iskaal have lost their minds and slaughtered all their captives.

Go to Iskaal, to the east of here and do what must must be done. Take this horn and call on my brethren should you need assistance.”

Quest Giver: Elder Atuik — Kamagua, Howling Fjord [25, 58]

Objective: Slay 8 Northsea Slavers at the ruined village of Iskaal.

Quick Facts

  • Chain Position: 3 of 3 in the Survivors of Iskaal chain (Feeding the Survivors → Arming Kamagua → Avenge Iskaal)
  • Prerequisite: Complete both Feeding the Survivors and Arming Kamagua
  • Unlocks: Travel to Moa’ki Harbor (from Anuniaq in Kamagua), which transitions the Kalu’ak storyline to Dragonblight

Walkthrough

Head east from Kamagua to the ruined tuskarr village of Iskaal at [33.8, 63.6]. You’ll find Northsea Slavers (also called Crazed Northsea Slavers) around the destroyed docks and beached ships. Kill 8 of them.

Using the Horn of Kamagua

  • Elder Atuik gives you the Horn of Kamagua when you accept the quest. Use it to summon a tuskarr combatant who fights alongside you.
  • The horn has a 5-minute cooldown and only works while you’re in Iskaal.
  • The summoned ally can pull extra slavers if mobs are tightly packed. Save the horn for when you’re in a tight spot rather than blowing it immediately.

Efficiency Tips

  • If you’ve progressed through the Scalawag Point quest chain far enough to have The Staff of Storm’s Fury, you can grab it from the ship’s hold at Iskaal while killing slavers here. Watch out for Abdul the Insane patrolling the ship (he’s elite).
  • After turning this in, pick up Travel to Moa’ki Harbor from Anuniaq in Kamagua before leaving the Isle of Spears. This quest offers gear rewards and bridges you into the Dragonblight Kalu’ak content.
  • The slavers are around level 70 and go down quickly for on-level characters. Plenty of spawns here, so competition is rarely an issue.

Lore Context

  • This is the payoff for the three-quest preparation arc. Feeding the Survivors gathered food, Arming Kamagua forged weapons from chimaera horns, and now the tuskarr strike back. Elder Atuik references the “totem of Issliruk” being ready, connecting to the chimaera horns you gathered in the previous quest.
  • The Northsea Freebooters raided Iskaal and enslaved its tuskarr inhabitants. The slavers then “lost their minds and slaughtered all their captives,” likely due to the cursed kvaldir artifacts they’d been handling from Shield Hill. This same curse drove their leader, “Mad” Jonah Sterling, insane.

Trivia

The name “Iskaal” is likely a play on the Swedish word “iskall,” meaning “ice-cold” (“is” = ice, “kall” = cold).

Atuik held out the Horn of Kamagua. A weapon, from a people who would rather have offered food.

“The totem of Issliruk is ready, and for that I thank you.”

His wept.

“We must cast our peaceful ways for the time being and strike at those who’ve attacked our land and our kin. The pirate slavers that raided Iskaal have lost their minds and slaughtered all their captives.”

Lost their minds, like Jonah Sterling with the frozen heart, like Abdul on the abandoned ship. The Kvaldir curses were spreading through the Freebooters like a plague, driving them to madness and murder.

“Go to Iskaal, to the east of here and do what must be done. Take this horn and call on my brethren should you need assistance.”

Iskaal was a ruin. A beached ship sat at the water’s edge, and around it the Crazed Northsea Slavers wandered with eyes that saw nothing and hands that reached for weapons at any movement. They had come to take prisoners and now they killed anything that breathed.

They fought without skill, without coordination, without even fear. Whatever the Kvaldir had done to them, death was a mercy.

I never needed the horn.

When I returned, Atuik accepted my report. “You are a formidable ally. My people will forever be in your debt.”

The real threat still gathered on the horizon, waiting in the mist.

Back at Scalawag Point a pirate called Handsome Terry had word of Forgotten Treasure buried off the coast and was looking for somebody willing to get wet for it.
