Troll Patrol: Done to Death

Quest Giver: Captain Rupert — Drak’Sotra, Zul’Drak [58, 72]

Objective: Use Incinerating Oil on 5 Defeated Argent Footmen in Drak’Sotra.

Walkthrough

• Rupert provides Incinerating Oil. The valid corpses are southwest of his position, around [52, 72] in the stony ground area.
• Use the Incinerating Oil from your quest items on each Defeated Argent Footman corpse. You need 5 total.
• Important: There are similar-looking corpses in the spider-infested field to the southeast. These are NOT valid targets and will give an “invalid target” error. Stick to the western stony area.
• After completing, Rupert directs you to Captain Grondel to the northeast, near the amphitheater.

Efficiency Tips

• Quick and straightforward once you know which corpses to use. The valid ones are clustered close together southwest of Rupert.
• If you’re doing this as part of the Troll Patrol timer, don’t waste time running southeast to the spider area. The corpses there don’t work.
• Do Alongside: Rupert’s other possible tasks (Intestinal Fortitude and Throwing Down) are all in the same Drak’Sotra area.

Lore Context

Rupert is a Forsaken captain serving in the Argent Crusade. His quest text reflects the grim irony of an undead soldier being assigned to burn allied corpses to prevent them from being raised by the Scourge. He notes that even as Forsaken, the smell of burning flesh has become sickening to him.
