“You must take this instrument of convocation – of summoning – to Zol’Heb just south of Gundrak. Therein you will find a circle of power. Use the convocation to force the prophet of Akali to appear. My heart goes out to you, Vikstone. We have been through much together, and you have done all that you can to not only save my life, but those of the other gods the Drakkari have destroyed.
But I fear this time we may not see each other again until the afterlife.”
-Har’koa

Quest Giver: Har’koa — Zim’Torga, Zul’Drak [59, 57]
Type: Group (Suggested 3 players)
Objective: Slay the Prophet of Akali.
Provided Item: Prophet of Akali Convocation
Walkthrough
Travel to Zol’Heb, just south of Gundrak. Find the green summoning circle at [77.6, 36.6]. Use the Prophet of Akali Convocation item in the circle to begin the encounter. The fight has two distinct phases:
Phase 1: You vs. the Prophet (~100% to ~80%)
The Prophet of Akali spawns and addresses you directly. He has several abilities:
Your goal in Phase 1 is simply to survive long enough to push him to approximately 80% health. This is the hardest part of the fight for most solo players. Use defensive cooldowns, potions, and self-healing to stay alive. Many classes barely scrape through this phase.
Phase Transition: The Rescue
When the Prophet reaches roughly 80%, the encounter shifts dramatically:
The RP exchange:
Prophet: “How sad that only now do you grasp the truth… I wield the power of a god.”
Prophet: “You’ve meddled in affairs that were none of your business. You are nothing but foreign invaders. Prepare to die!” The prophet begins to cast a ritual of annihilation upon you all.
Har’koa: “PROPHET!”
Prophet: “What? HAR’KOA?!”
Har’koa: “YOU KEEP YOUR FILTHY DRAKKARI HANDS OFF OF THEM!”
Prophet: “Very well, kitten. I see no need to delay your inevitable demise.”
Har’koa: “I THINK NOT. YOU WILL DROP YOUR IMMUNITY, CEASE YOUR RITUAL NOW AND RELEASE THEM!”
Prophet: “NO! I will kill you all!”
The stun dissipates and Phase 2 begins.
Phase 2: You + Har’koa vs. the Prophet (~80% to 0%)
Har’koa joins the fight permanently. She provides:
Phase 2 is much more manageable. With Har’koa’s healing and DPS, most classes can comfortably finish the fight. Just stay near Har’koa and keep dealing damage.
Soloing Strategy
Despite the “Group (3)” tag, this quest is widely soloed. Key strategies:
Story Context
This is the climax of the entire Dying Loa questline. Har’koa’s quest text is the most emotionally raw dialogue she delivers in the entire chain. She genuinely believes this may be a suicide mission: “I fear this time we may not see each other again until the afterlife.”
She can only offer “the warmth of my words” as encouragement.
And then she shows up anyway. When the Prophet has you stunned and is about to obliterate your soul, Har’koa charges in alone against a troll wielding the stolen power of a god. Her line “YOU KEEP YOUR FILTHY DRAKKARI HANDS OFF OF THEM!” is raw maternal fury from a goddess who has watched her fellow loa be murdered one by one.
The Prophet calls her “kitten.” She forces him to drop his immunity.
Her completion text crowns you “the champion of Zul’Drak,” and the Zandalari present you with powerful chest armor as thanks. This quest completes the “Akali” criteria for The Empire of Zul’Drak achievement, part of Loremaster of Northrend.
Cross-Expansion Connection
The Prophet of Akali is Gal’darah, the final boss of Gundrak dungeon. You’ve just defeated him in the open world, but he survives to retreat into his stronghold.
The next quest, Unfinished Business, sends you to Gundrak to finish what you started, culminating in Gal’darah Must Pay. In Gundrak, Gal’darah uses Akali’s stolen rhino powers to transform during his boss encounter, with Whirling Slash and charge abilities reflecting the rhino god’s nature.
Killing him there completes the cycle of justice for Akali.

Vikstone's War Journal“I fear this time we may not see each other again until the afterlife,” Har’koa said as she handed me the convocation. “But I implore you not to take too long, or the prophet will surely descend upon us.”

Four of us made the walk to Zol’Heb. Healwithlove, a priest whose name was either a promise or a prayer. Hashaan, a paladin who carried the Light like armor. Trichome, a dwarf death knight who’d been quiet since we entered Zul’Drak. Good people, the kind you want beside you when gods tell you you’re going to die.
We used the instrument at the circle south of Gundrak. The air split and the Prophet of Akali appeared.
“You’ve meddled in affairs that were none of your business. You are nothing but foreign invaders. Prepare to die!”
He recognized me. “You must be this Vikstone everyone is dreading. You don’t worry me. Nothing will stand between me and Zim’Torga now!”
He was stronger than anything we’d faced. Four gods’ worth of stolen power behind every blow. Trichome’s runeblade carved into him while Hashaan and I held his attention between us, trading the prophet’s fury back and forth. Healwithlove kept us alive from behind the circle’s edge, holy light flaring with every hit we absorbed. We pushed him back, drove him to desperation.
Then he stopped playing.
The stun hit all four of us at once. Couldn’t move. Couldn’t speak. Couldn’t do anything but watch as he began casting something that felt like the end of everything. Beside me, Trichome strained against invisible bonds. Hashaan’s lips moved in silent prayer. Healwithlove’s hands glowed uselessly at her sides.
“How sad that only now do you grasp the truth. I wield the power of a god. You are a mere mortal. You cannot hope to defeat me!”
Light from the southeast, not the paladin’s light or the priest’s.
Har’koa, manifesting in the material world.
“PROPHET!”
“What? HAR’KOA?!”
“YOU KEEP YOUR FILTHY DRAKKARI HANDS OFF OF THEM!”
“Very well, kitten. I see no need to delay your inevitable demise. I’ll deal with you just as soon as I finish off these simpletons.”
“I THINK NOT. YOU WILL DROP YOUR IMMUNITY, CEASE YOUR RITUAL NOW AND RELEASE THEM!”
“NO! I will kill you all!”
The stun broke. The immunity shattered, and Har’koa had given us back the fight.
We gave her the kill. All four of us hit the prophet at once. Trichome buried his blade in the prophet’s side. Hashaan’s hammer blazed with consecrated fury. Healwithlove stopped healing and started hurting, shadow and light both, because some things deserve everything you’ve got.
The Prophet of Akali fell.
“Thank you,” Har’koa said. “Once again you have saved us all.”
Back at Zim’Torga, she named me champion of Zul’Drak. A title earned in blood, bought with the lives of four gods who deserved better than the Drakkari gave them.
Four dead gods, one surviving goddess, and a title earned in the blood of prophets who murdered their own deities. But the zone still has loose ends, and some business was left unfinished in Unfinished Business.
