Walkthrough

• Ice Elementals are level 69 and found scattered in a ring around the Frozen Glade, right at Lurielle’s location [61, 22]. You don’t need to travel anywhere.
• Drop rate is 100% — kill exactly 15, loot 15 cores, done.
• Return to Lurielle to turn in. She’ll accept the cores quietly, then speak to them directly: “I promise, my friends, I will do all I can to restore you.”

Frost Mages: These elementals are immune to Frost damage. You’ll need to rely on Fire Blast, Arcane Explosion, your wand, or any non-Frost spells. This is the one class that will struggle with what is otherwise a trivial quest.

Efficiency Tips

• After turn-in, Lurielle offers The Fallen Sisters and Wild Vines simultaneously. Both send you to the Twisted Glade at [54, 27]. Pick up both and complete them together in one trip.
• If you’re also doing March of the Giants from Fort Wildervar, the giants are northeast of the Frozen Glade along the coast and can be hit on the same run.

Lore Context

• These aren’t random hostile mobs. The ice elementals surrounding the glade were once the frost nymphs’ companions and protectors, friends who lived alongside them in the glade. A mysterious “volatile and destructive force” sweeping through Northrend turned them hostile. Lurielle’s heartbreak is palpable in the quest text: she’s collecting her friends’ remains, hoping to one day restore them.
• Frost nymphs are an evolved subrace of dryads, themselves daughters of the demigod Cenarius. Where Kalimdoran dryads frolic in temperate forests, frost nymphs adapted to Northrend’s frozen woodlands. Their queen normally forbids contact with outsiders. Lurielle’s decision to reveal herself to you reflects how desperate their situation has become.
• This chain builds toward the Twisted Glade, where you’ll encounter the frost nymphs’ corrupted sisters — “fallen” nymphs who can be saved with Lurielle’s Pendant — and ultimately Keeper Witherleaf, a corrupted Keeper of the Grove (the male children of Cenarius, brothers to the dryads).
