Walkthrough

1. Accept quest from Captain Adams inside Westguard Keep.
2. Exit to the courtyard and find Greer Orehammer (the flight master) on the small wall [31.3, 44.0].
3. Speak to Greer and select the bombing run dialogue option.
4. You’ll receive 10 Orehammer’s Precision Bombs and mount a gryphon automatically.
5. Immediately drag the bombs to your action bar for easier use.
6. Bomb the plague tanks (green wagons) as you fly over New Agamand.
7. The gryphon makes two passes over the town.
8. After completing 5 hits, you’ll automatically return to Westguard Keep.
9. Turn in to Captain Adams.

Tips

• Hotkey the Bombs: As soon as you mount the gryphon, place the bombs on your action bar (like #1). Hitting a key is much faster than clicking your bags while trying to aim.
• You Can Hit the Same Tank Multiple Times: If you’re struggling to hit different tanks, spam-click on a single tank as you pass over it. Each hit counts toward your total.
• Two Passes = Two Chances: Don’t panic if you miss tanks on the first pass. The gryphon circles back for a second run.
• Free Bag Space Required: If your bags are completely full, you won’t receive the bombs. Clear at least one slot before talking to Greer.
• No Shapeshift: Druids cannot use the bombs while shapeshifted. Stay in caster form.
• Lag Issues: If the gryphon seems too fast or the bombs aren’t landing, lower your video settings. Even at minimum view distance, you’ll see the tanks clearly.
• Can Retry: If you fail to get all 5 hits, speak to Greer again for another bombing run.

Identifying the Targets

The plague tanks are wagon-like objects with green containers visible from above. They’re scattered throughout New Agamand. Look for the distinctive green glow of the plague containers.

The bombs have a relatively short cooldown, so you can drop multiple bombs per pass. Experienced players can complete this in a single circuit.

Story Context

Captain Adams is furious after learning about the super-plague:

“The Royal Apothecary Society thinks they’re going to perfect a new plague to melt us down where we stand?! Not on my watch!”

His solution is characteristically direct:

“Get out to the courtyard and speak with Greer Orehammer. He’s got a gryphon and some bombs ready for you. I want you to bomb the plague tanks at New Agamand to smithereens!”

When you return victorious, Adams is practically giddy:

“Nicely done, <name>, nicely done!”

The completion text notes: <The captain seems beside himself with glee.>

“That’ll show those good-for-nothing Forsaken to think about messing with us! I’d say you’ve earned yourself something from the treasury!”

Lore Note: New Agamand

New Agamand is one of the few purpose-built Forsaken settlements, constructed in their distinctive dark, gothic, spindly architectural style rather than being a repurposed ruin. The town is named after the Agamand family and their haunted mills in Tirisfal Glades, a symbol of the prosperity that existed before the Plague of Undeath.

This is where the Royal Apothecary Society set up operations to finalize their New Plague. The land around New Agamand is visibly dead and brown compared to the otherwise verdant Howling Fjord landscape.
