Objective: Get a Shiny Knife from “Silvermoon” Harry and capture a Scalawag Frog. Bring both to Zeh’gehn.

Walkthrough

Terry has translated Zeh’gehn’s patois: he needs a “croaker” (frog) and a “carver” (knife) for his divination ritual. Two quick stops:

1. Buy the Shiny Knife: Purchase from “Silvermoon” Harry in his tent at [35, 80]. Costs a small amount of silver.
2. Catch a Scalawag Frog: Right-click on one of the small frogs hopping around the docks and tents of Scalawag Point. They’re small and easy to miss, so look near water and shaded areas. You must dismount first — clicking a frog while mounted will make it disappear without being collected.

Bring both items to Zeh’gehn. Upon turn-in, he performs his divination: he uses the sun’s reflection off the knife to mesmerize the frog, which then directs its gaze toward the docked ship — revealing the traitor’s location. This sets up the follow-up quest, “Crowleg” Dan.

Tips

• Frogs spawn frequently around Scalawag Point. There should be several within a few yards of Zeh’gehn himself.
• If you somehow pick up two frogs, the extra one appears in your inventory tagged with “Made by (your name).”

Lore Context

• Terry’s quip — “I’d hate to be in the poor critter’s shoes, if you know what I mean” — sets up a bait-and-switch. Everyone (player and NPCs alike) expects a gruesome voodoo sacrifice, but Zeh’gehn’s method is entirely non-lethal. The frog is mesmerized, not harmed. It’s a nice subversion that plays against the “scary witch doctor” stereotype WoW usually leans into with troll characters.
• The mesmerized frog directs its gaze toward the docked ship, leading to a confrontation with “Crowleg” Dan, the traitor among the Northsea Freebooters.
