Walkthrough

After speaking with Zeh’gehn in the previous quest, you can’t understand a word he said. His response was a stream of patois: “Ye gotta bring me a croaker, matey… Bring us a carver yahso too, ‘atsteppa.” Walk back to Handsome Terry and report what happened.

Terry translates: Zeh’gehn wants a frog (“croaker”) and a knife (“carver”) for his divination ritual. Terry then sends you on the next quest, A Carver and a Croaker, to fetch these items.

Lore Context

• This quest is the comedic payoff for the language barrier set up in A Traitor Among Us. Zeh’gehn’s dialect is so thick that even the pirates — who “have our own special way of talking,” as Terry puts it — need a translator. Zeh’gehn “dives deeper than most trolls into the Rastafarian and Jamaican patois”, making his dialogue a distinctive blend of troll speech, pirate slang, and Jamaican Creole.
• The quest name itself is a play on “Simon Says” — Zeh’gehn says what he needs, but the “game” is figuring out what he actually means.
