Walkthrough

Head outside the Scalawag Point settlement and kill Rabid Brown Bears on the surrounding island. They roam the grassy and wooded areas around [33, 79]. The bears are marked as quest mobs, so they’ll show up with the standard quest tracking indicators.

Tips

• The drop rate is moderate. Expect roughly 8–10 kills to collect all 4 Bear Musks, though this can vary.
• In a group, all members can loot Bear Musk from each kill, so you only need 4 total kills with good luck rather than 4 per person.
• If the island feels crowded with other players, try circling to the less-trafficked edges of the bear spawn area.

Lore Context

• Terry’s entrepreneurial pitch is classic pirate pragmatism: the pirates’ own filthy ships brought the rats that gave the island’s bears rabies, and now Terry wants to turn pest control into profit by harvesting bear musk for a fragrance “popular among Stormwind nobles.” Two birds, one stone. Pirate settlements create their own problems and then monetize the solutions.

Easter Eggs

The quest name may be a play on The Color of Money (1986), the Martin Scorsese film starring Paul Newman and Tom Cruise about pool hustlers chasing profit. The connection fits: both are stories about a smooth-talking mentor figure (Handsome Terry/Fast Eddie Felson) who sees “a fine business opportunity” and recruits a partner to cash in.
