“Five hundred years ago, Azshara imprisoned a being named Leviroth in the waters below. Now these barbarians seek to undo our queen’s work! They took over our city and began to sacrifice my brethren to awaken him! When they ran out of naga, they began to take tuskarr. Their spirits will know no peace!
I will help you, for it will go a long way towards quelling my vengeance. Their captain, Ragnar, dwells deep inside northeastern Riplash. He has in his possession a golden trident. Bring it to me!”
-Veehja
Veehja in Riplash wants you to go to the far northeastern end of the Riplash Ruins. Once there slay Ragnar Drakkarlund and obtain the Trident of Naz’jan from him.

Quest Giver/Turn In: Veehja at the Shrine of Scales [43, 80]
Objective: Slay Ragnar Drakkarlund and obtain the Trident of Naz’jan from him.
Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Step 1: Accept Quest and Get Buff
When you accept this quest, Veehja casts Riplash Blessing on you, increasing swim speed by 60% for 5 minutes. Useful for navigating the flooded ruins.
Step 2: Travel to Riplash Ruins
Ragnar is at [54, 88], at the far northeastern end of the Riplash Ruins (the island complex south of Riplash Strand).
Getting There:
Shortcut: At [55, 93] there’s a spot where you can jump up the rocks near the bottom of the stairs leading to Ragnar. This bypasses most of the ruins.
Step 3: Kill Ragnar
Ragnar is guarded by two Skadir mobs. Important combat notes:
Guards Don’t Link: The two guards do not link to Ragnar or to each other. You can pull and kill them separately before engaging Ragnar, or skip them entirely.
Stealth Strategy: Rogues and Druids can stealth behind the pavilion and position themselves against the wall. From there, you can attack Ragnar with an opener (Ambush, etc.) without aggroing the guards.
Feign Death/Vanish Trick: If you pull extra mobs getting to Ragnar, position yourself in the nook behind the boss and use Feign Death or similar abilities. The chasing mobs will reset, and you can then engage Ragnar alone.
Respawn Timer: Ragnar and his guards respawn in approximately 1 minute 30 seconds. If someone else just killed him, wait briefly.
Step 4: Loot the Trident
The Trident of Naz’jan drops from Ragnar’s corpse. Loot it.
Step 5: Return to Veehja
Return to Veehja at the Shrine of Scales to complete the quest.
Story Context
Veehja (quest text): “Five hundred years ago, Azshara imprisoned a being named Leviroth in the waters below. Now these barbarians seek to undo our queen’s work!”
“They took over our city and began to sacrifice my brethren to awaken him! When they ran out of naga, they began to take tuskarr. Their spirits will know no peace!”
“I will help you, for it will go a long way towards quelling my vengeance. Their captain, Ragnar, dwells deep inside northeastern Riplash. He has in his possession a golden trident. Bring it to me!”
Progress: “Do you have the trident?”
Completion: “Yesssssss! We will slay the Kvaldir’s beast! I will show these brutes to never cross a priestess of the scale!”
Five hundred years ago, Queen Azshara imprisoned the kraken Leviroth in the waters beneath Riplash. She blessed the trident of Raj Naz’jan, the Riplash emperor, specifically to slay the beast should it ever escape. Now Ragnar holds that trident, and the Kvaldir are trying to awaken Leviroth through blood sacrifice. They possess the very weapon that could destroy their prized monster.
Lore: Ragnar Drakkarlund
Ragnar Drakkarlund is one of the leaders of the Skadir clan. While Gamel the Cruel commanded the forces at Riplash Strand, Ragnar operates from deep within the Riplash Ruins, orchestrating the ritual to awaken Leviroth. He took the Trident of Naz’jan from the naga after the Skadir conquered their city.
Easter Egg: On the ceiling of the tower where Ragnar stands, there’s a mural of constellations. These may have been used by ancient Highborne sorcerers. The Riplash Ruins were originally a night elven structure, and despite the naga occupation, traces of their pre-Sundering origins remain.
Secret: Terky the Murloc Pet
Near Ragnar’s location, you can find Terky, a white baby murloc battle pet.

How to Find It:
Note: The egg respawns quickly and is lootable by multiple players. This pet was originally only available through a Taiwan iCoke promotion but was made globally available in Patch 6.2.2.

Vikstone's War JournalVeehja’s composure cracked when she spoke of what the Kvaldir had done.

“Five hundred years ago, Azshara imprisoned a being named Leviroth in the waters below.” Her tail coiled against the stone floor. “Now these barbarians seek to undo our queen’s work. They took over our city and began to sacrifice my brethren to awaken him. When they ran out of naga, they began to take tuskarr. Their spirits will know no peace.”
That explained Ariut’s unrest. The fallen of Pal’ea hadn’t just been murdered. They’d been used.
“Their captain, Ragnar, dwells deep inside northeastern Riplash.” Veehja’s eyes glittered. “He has in his possession a golden trident. Bring it to me.”
The Riplash Ruins sprawled across the islands, now occupied by Kvaldir who’d made the corpse of a civilization into a staging ground for something worse. Ragnar Drakkarlund waited at the heart of it. He was a captain among the Skadir, bigger than the others, the trident gleaming in his barnacled fist.
Ragnar was used to prey that broke and ran. When I didn’t, the confidence left him fast.
The trident was heavier than I expected.
Veehja took it from my hands.
“Yesssssss.” Her tongue flickered across the word. “We will slay the Kvaldir’s beast. I will show these brutes to never cross a priestess of the scale.”
Veehja had waited five hundred years for the chance to use it, and she meant to kill the kraken in its sleep, which is what she wants The Emissary for.
