“The spirits have heard our cry for help, Vikstone. It’s a sign that Kaskala might yet be saved. Take advantage of the confusion the weather has created and slay the Kvaldir leader. Your actions will sway the battle in our favor, I am sure of it.”
-Elder Muahit
Elder Muahit wants you to kill Heigarr the Horrible in Njord’s Breath Bay.

Quest Giver: Elder Muahit at Njord’s Breath Bay [67, 54]
Turn In: Elder Muahit at Njord’s Breath Bay [67, 54]
Objective: Kill Heigarr the Horrible in Njord’s Breath Bay.
Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Step 1: Locate Heigarr
Heigarr the Horrible is on the southern end of the island where you received the quest, at [67, 56]. He’s just south of Elder Muahit, on the other side of the moai statue (tall tuskarr stone carving).
Important: Heigarr uses the same model as regular Kvaldir Raiders. You must identify him by his name, not his appearance. Watch for his nameplate among the raiders on the island.
Step 2: Tag First for Credit
Like the previous quest Not Without a Fight!, Kaskala Defenders also attack Heigarr. You must either:
If you don’t get credit because Defenders killed him first, wait for respawn.
Step 3: Combat
Heigarr has two abilities:
He’s not particularly difficult for his level, but the stun can be dangerous if other Kvaldir raiders are nearby and pile on.
Step 4: If He’s Not There
Heigarr has a very fast respawn timer (approximately 1 minute). If he’s not visible:
Story Context: The Spirits Answer
Elder Muahit (quest text): “The spirits have heard our cry for help, <name>. It’s a sign that Kaskala might yet be saved.”
“Take advantage of the confusion the weather has created and slay the Kvaldir leader. Your actions will sway the battle in our favor, I am sure of it.”
Elder Muahit (completion): “You’ve done us a great favor, <race>. The fight is not yet won, but my people now have a chance.”
The snowstorm summoned by the Spirit of Issliruk in the previous quest has slowed the Kvaldir’s ships and created confusion among their forces. Muahit seizes this opportunity to strike at their leadership.
With Heigarr dead, the Kvaldir lose their commander. The tuskarr haven’t won yet, but they’ve bought precious time for their families to escape to Unu’pe.
Heigarr’s Battle Cries
During combat, Heigarr yells commands to his Kvaldir forces:
Easter Egg: Hägar the Horrible
Heigarr the Horrible is a reference to Hägar the Horrible, a comic strip created by Dik Browne in 1973. The comic follows a Danish Viking named Hägar and his misadventures.
During beta, Heigarr was called “Heigarr the Slayer” before being renamed to make the comic reference clearer.

Vikstone's War Journal“The spirits have heard our cry for help,” Elder Muahit said. “It’s a sign that Kaskala might yet be saved. Take advantage of the confusion the weather has created and slay the Kvaldir leader, Heigarr the Slayer. Your actions will sway the battle in our favor. I am sure of it.”

The storm had come from nowhere. Snow driving sideways, thick enough to blind. Issliruk’s doing, they said. The tuskarr spirit of war, answering prayers with weather.
I found Heigarr on the southern edge of the island, screaming orders at raiders who could no longer see to follow them. A massive vrykul, barnacles crusted across his shoulders, seaweed tangled in his beard.
“Show no mercy!” he roared into the white. “Kill every last one of the Tuskarr!”
He never saw me coming.
The first blow took him across the back of the knees. He spun, surprisingly fast, his axe carving air where my head had been. I ducked under the second swing and drove my shoulder into his gut, feeling ribs give. His fist caught my temple. Stars bloomed. I answered with the pommel to his throat.
He went down choking. I finished it clean.
“You’ve done us a great favor,” Muahit said afterward. “The fight is not yet won, but now my people have a chance.”
The tuskarr were fishermen. Peaceful folk with spears meant for catching dinner. And the Kvaldir had come from the mists to slaughter them.
I thought of other villages. Other people who’d deserved better than what found them.
