“With all of those outfits you, er, recovered, I fashioned a Warsong orc disguise. I had the genius idea of combining it with some old stuff that I had left hanging around from last Hallows’ End, so it should be foolproof!
Here, in this sack is the disguise and the banner you recovered. Head down into the bowels of Magmoth and slay the magnataur chieftain, Magmothregar. If you’re going to convince them to turn their attention on the Warsong orcs, you’ll need to plant the banner while disguised.”
-Crafty Wobblesprocket
While disguised as a Warsong orc, plant the Warsong Banner in the corpse of Magmothregar. Then, return with the disguise to Crafty Wobblesprocket at Fizzcrank Airstrip.

Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Equip the Disguise
Open Crafty’s Sack to receive the Warsong Orc Disguise and the Warsong Banner. Use the disguise before entering Magmoth. The disguise persists through combat and mounting.
Reach Magmothregar
Cave entrance at [53, 13]. You have two options:
Option A: The Long Way (Safer) Enter the cave and descend via the ramps. Clear snobolds and other mobs as you go. Slower but more controlled.
Option B: The Drop (Faster) From the cave entrance, bear right and follow the ridge until you find an opening above the central pool. Jump straight down into the water below Magmothregar’s chamber. The water is deep enough to negate fall damage if you aim for the center. No slow-fall effects required, but Noggenfogger Elixir works if you’re nervous.
Kill Magmothregar
Magmothregar is a level 72 magnataur chieftain at the bottom of the cave. He’s surrounded by his mates and offspring.
Abilities:
Quick Respawn: Magmothregar respawns very fast. If someone else just killed him, wait a minute or two.
Plant the Banner (Critical Step)
After killing Magmothregar:
Troubleshooting:
Return to Crafty
Fight your way out or grab the escort quest first (see below).
Efficiency Tip: Combine with Get Me Outa Here!
Bonker Togglevolt is near the exit from Magmothregar’s chamber. Grab his escort quest, Get Me Outa Here!, before or after killing Magmothregar and complete it on your way out.
Start the escort before planting the banner if Magmothregar’s fast respawn might catch you mid-escort.
Class-Specific Notes
Feral Druids: The disguise cannot be worn in animal forms, and you have limited mana/spellpower in caster form. Consider pulling with Moonfire, shifting to bear/cat for the kill, then shifting back to caster form for banner planting.
Frost Mages: Magmothregar has no specific frost immunity (unlike Rocknar from earlier in this chain). Standard frost spells work fine.
Pet Classes: Carefully manage your pet to avoid early aggro or accidental pulls.
Lore: Framing the Horde
This quest is the culmination of Crafty’s “Plan B” after her Shortening Blaster failed. Her scheme: assassinate the magnataur chieftain while disguised as a Warsong orc, plant Horde colors on his corpse, and let the surviving magnataur conclude that Bor’gorok Outpost is responsible.
Crafty’s completion dialogue: “Holey moley, you did it! Alright, now those pesky magnataur and their snobold flunkies should turn their attentions on the Horde.”
The disguise itself is hilariously bad.
Crafty admits she combined the stolen Warsong outfits with “some old stuff that I had left hanging around from last Hallows’ End.” The result is an orc costume complete with a visible mask worn over your actual face. You can clearly see your orc face, yet you’re still wearing a mask over it.
Whether the magnataur are actually fooled by this scheme is left ambiguous. Gnomish optimism at its finest.
Horde Perspective
From the Horde side, players never learn about the Alliance frame job. The Horde questline at Bor’gorok Outpost focuses on dealing with Steeljaw’s Caravan disaster and diplomatic fallout with the taunka. Meanwhile, somewhere in the depths of Magmoth, a gnome-disguised-as-an-orc is planting evidence to redirect magnataur aggression toward innocent Warsong soldiers.
The quest name’s exclamation point says it all: “It Was The Orcs, Honest!” The Alliance isn’t just framing the Horde; they’re doing it with zero plausible deniability.

Vikstone's War JournalCrafty handed me a sack. “With all of those outfits you, er, recovered, I fashioned a Warsong orc disguise.” She beamed. “I had the genius idea of combining it with some old stuff I had left hanging around from last Hallows’ End. It should be

foolproof!”
Hallows’ End. The gnome had made me an orc costume out of dead soldiers’ clothes and holiday decorations.
I looked in the sack. Looked at her. Said nothing.
“Head down into the bowels of Magmoth and slay the magnataur chieftain, Magmothregar. If you’re going to convince them to turn their attention on the Warsong orcs, you’ll need to plant the banner while disguised.”
The plan was morally questionable at best. Frame the Horde for murder, then redirect the magnataur’s wrath onto Bor’gorok Outpost. Gnomish problem-solving at its finest.
I put on the disguise. It smelled of death and pumpkins.
Magmothregar waited in the depths of Magmoth, surrounded by his mates and offspring. Massive even by magnataur standards. When he saw me, he charged with terrifying speed, movements blur-fast and devastating. Each impact rattled my bones.
But the berserker fury had a cost. When it faded, he staggered, vulnerable. I didn’t waste the opening and put him down before he could recover.
I planted the Warsong Banner in his corpse. Let the magnataur draw their own conclusions.
Crafty was delighted when I returned. “Holey moley, you did it! Now those pesky magnataur and their snobold flunkies should turn their attentions on the Horde.”
The Horde would have questions about the orc who smelled of pumpkins.
The magnataur had a new enemy and no idea it was invented, and Crafty’s next request is smaller than a war and stranger, since what she wants out of Magmoth now is The Ultrasonic Screwdriver.
