Quest Giver: Scalper Ahunae — Zim’Torga, Zul’Drak [59, 57]

Objective: Use the Medallion of Mam’toth to calm and ride an Enraged Mammoth, then trample 12 Mam’toth Disciples to death.

Walkthrough

• Travel northeast from Zim’Torga, up the steps to the next tier of Zul’Drak. Head to the area around the ruined Altar of Mam’toth at roughly [73, 40].
• Target an Enraged Mammoth and use the Medallion of Mam’toth. This calms the mammoth and lets you mount it as a vehicle.
• The mammoth has a vehicle ability: Rushing Charge (key 1), which charges at a targeted Mam’toth Disciple. Ride around and trample 12 disciples to complete the quest.
• Return to Scalper Ahunae at Zim’Torga [59, 57] to turn in.

Efficiency Tips

• The mammoth is slow. This is the main frustration of the quest. Movement speed is significantly lower than normal run speed, and the disciples are spread out. Budget 5-10 minutes.
• You don’t actually have to be on the mammoth to get credit for kills. Killing Mam’toth Disciples on foot (after mounting at least once) still registers them as “trampled to death.” This is likely unintended, but it speeds things up considerably if the mammoth’s pace is driving you mad.
• If you trample a disciple and your mammoth dies, you can finish off any damaged disciples on foot and still get credit.
• Safe jumping: You can jump off elevated areas while mounted on the mammoth without dying. The mammoth absorbs fall damage.
• Do Alongside: Hexed Caches is in the adjacent area. Grab it before heading out.

Reward Note

• The Frigid Crossbow has an unusually fast 1.50 weapon speed, making it one of the fastest crossbows in the game. Useful for leveling up crossbow weapon skill quickly.

Lore Context

Ahunae heard about your trip to Mam’toth Crater and wants payback on behalf of the dead god’s “children” (the enraged mammoths). The Mam’toth Disciples are the trolls who participated in the mammoth loa’s destruction.

Having you ride an enraged mammoth to trample the very trolls who killed its god is poetic justice, and Ahunae’s turn-in dialogue captures it perfectly: “Score one for the victims, mon!”
