Objective: Use the Rageclaw Fire Extinguisher to douse 15 hut fires at Rageclaw Den.

Walkthrough

• Head southeast from Light’s Breach to Rageclaw Den [34, 84]. The burning huts are impossible to miss.
• Use the Rageclaw Fire Extinguisher on the flaming huts. The extinguisher is instant-cast with no meaningful cooldown, so you can spam-click it while running through the village. Each fire may take 2-3 uses to fully douse. Wait for the “Hut Fire Doused” message before moving on.
• The extinguisher has generous range and will snap to the nearest fire. You can often douse fires without stopping, even while fighting mobs.
• Stand reasonably close to the huts. At extreme range, dousing may not register.

Efficiency Tips

• Accept Trolls Is Gone Crazy! from Chief Rageclaw and In Search of Answers from Crusader Lord Lantinga before heading out. All three quests complete in the same area.
• You’ll be killing Drakuru trolls anyway for Lock Openers (Trolls Is Gone Crazy!), so just spam the extinguisher between pulls.

Fun Mechanic: Dousing fires counts as a “kill” for ability proc purposes. Shadow Priests get Spirit Tap procs, Warriors get Victory Rush, and several other on-kill effects trigger. Not game-changing, but a nice bonus that keeps resources topped off while you clear the area.

Easter Egg

The quest name and premise are a likely nod to Futurama‘s classic scene from “The Day the Earth Stood Stupid” (Season 3, 2001). When the entire cast is rendered stupid by alien brains, Leela reaches into a fire and shouts “Fire hot!”

Professor Farnsworth then reaches in himself and confirms: “Fire indeed hot!”. Elder Shaman Moky’s quest text plays the same joke: “Chief make top Rageclaw shaman, Moky, do study on fire. Results very surprising! Fire still hot and can burn things.”
