Stinkbeard’s Abilities
Stinkbeard is a magnataur lord from the Dragonblight, and a noticeable step up from Yggdras. He has five abilities:
| Ability | Effect |
|---|---|
| Enrage | +30% attack speed, +10% physical damage for 5 min. Hunters and Rogues should Tranquilizing Shot/Anesthetic Poison this if possible. |
| Knock Away | Melee hit + knockback on the tank. Position with your back to a wall if possible. |
| Stinky Beard | Reduces a target’s Stamina by 1% for 30 sec, stacks 3 times. Minor but stacks up over a long fight. |
| Thunderblade | Lightning slash that jumps to 1 nearby target (30% damage reduction per jump). Don’t stack on the tank. |
| Thunderclap | AoE Nature damage, slows attack speed and movement for 10 sec. Dispellable. |

Vikstone's War JournalThere’s an art to fighting giants. The larger they are, the more their size betrays them. Every movement telegraphed by shifting muscle, every attack forecast by the redistribution of weight.

Stinkbeard the Magnataur was no exception, though his name was a grave understatement.
The stench hit us before his shadow did.
From the platform above, Gurgthock announced the match: “This next match is a doozy! Apparently some magnataur from the Dragonblight wants a piece of the action. All I can tell you is to aim high!”
Twice the height of an ogre, with the bulk of a mammoth and all the killing intent of both combined. My companions spread out instinctively, a formation we’d practiced against Northrend’s largest horrors.
His first roar staggered Gabe. But we’d learned. As his massive club came down in an overhead arc, I pivoted inside its reach rather than retreating. Let the weapon’s momentum carry past while my mace found the soft spot behind his knee. Every giant has one.
“Watch the stomp!” Deajavu darted back just as Stinkbeard’s mammoth-like foot crashed down, sending cracks through the arena floor. The rogue had good instincts.
Briee’s arrows found the magnataur’s eyes whenever he turned toward Gabe. Every time Stinkbeard raised his club toward the priest, an arrow kissed his brow ridge and bought us a half second. Her cat worked the opposite flank from Deajavu, keeping the magnataur turning, always turning, never settling his weight.
Each swing of his club carved deadly arcs through the air, each stomp meant to crush or corner. Gabe’s magic strengthened our arms while Mardagan pressed the wounded knee from the opposite side, his hammer trailing holy fire that cauterized nothing and burned everything.
Stinkbeard buckled and toppled like a felled tree, impact shaking the entire arena.
“And with AUTHORITY, Vikstone dominates the magnataur lord!” Gurgthock was already working the crowd. “Stinkbeard’s clan is gonna miss him back home in the Dragonblight!”
Gabe wiped blood from his face. Not his. “What’s next?”
Something from beyond, they said.
Stinkbeard’s corpse was still steaming when Gurgthock started hyping the next round. Something from another plane entirely was waiting in The Amphitheater of Anguish: From Beyond!
