Yulda’s Folly

Quest Giver: Iva the Vengeful at Brunnhildar Village [48, 72]. Turned in to Iva.

Objective: Slay Yulda the Stormspeaker in Valkyrion.

Walkthrough

• Yulda is inside the largest building in Valkyrion at [24, 62], just southwest of the Blighted Pool. Clear the Valkyrion Aspirants outside and in the building entrance on your way in.
• She has two notable abilities: Call Lightning (Nature damage nuke) and Typhoon (frontal Nature damage wave). Neither is dangerous for appropriately leveled characters, but stay aware of the Typhoon knockback if fighting near the doorway.
• After killing Yulda, don’t leave the building without looting the Incendiary Harpoons crate next to her. This starts the follow-up quest Valkyrion Must Burn.

Do Alongside

• Part of the four-quest Valkyrion cluster. Complete Aberrations and Off With Their Black Wings while working your way through Valkyrion toward Yulda’s building, then pick up Valkyrion Must Burn from the crate and finish at the harpoon guns [27, 60].

Lore Context

Yulda is the leader who delivered Valkyrion to the Lich King. She betrayed the Hyldnir sisterhood by pledging allegiance to the Scourge in exchange for the power to become Val’kyr.

She personally traveled to Brunnhildar Village to recruit others, insulting their traditions and pushing the Lich King’s promises. The Brunnhildar tried to kill her on the spot, but her storm magic was strong enough to escape. Iva’s quest is personal revenge for that insult to the Hyldsmeet.

Her title “Stormspeaker” reflects her combat abilities (Call Lightning, Typhoon), not a connection to Titan lore specifically. She’s a powerful shaman-type caster who used that power to shield herself during her escape from Brunnhildar.
