“The Lich King sent emissaries to us on three different occasions. All three were promptly dismembered. Our sisters in Valkyrion were not as dedicated to our traditions and accepted the Scourge’s advances. Now instead of capturing their drakes from the wild, they raise them from the blight and filth that the Scourge wallow in. Take the frost oil that the Valkyrion Hyldnir carry on them and use it to freeze any blighted eggs you find.
Rumors speak of a fetid pool of blight where the eggs are kept.”

Lore Context
Valkyrion is home to Hyldnir vrykul, who betrayed their traditions by pledging loyalty to the Lich King. Their sisters in Brunnhildar Village rejected the Scourge’s advances three times (dismembering each emissary). Thyra Kvinnshal considers the Valkyrion vrykul traitors for raising plagued proto-drakes from blight instead of capturing wild drakes in the traditional way.
The Valkyrion Aspirants are vrykul women training to “accept the Lich King’s gift” and be transformed into Val’kyr, the Scourge’s winged spirit agents. This process is a dark mirror of the original Val’kyr created by Odyn, who were warriors of the Light.

Vikstone's War JournalThe Brunnhildar Hyldnir had rejected the Lich King’s emissaries. Dismembered all three of them, according to Thyra Kvinnshal. Their sisters in Valkyrion had been less discerning.

“Now instead of capturing their drakes from the wild, they raise them from the blight and filth that the Scourge wallow in,” she said with undisguised disgust. “Take the frost oil the Valkyrion Hyldnir carry on them and use it to freeze their blighted eggs.”
Within the Blighted Pool, the plagued proto-drake eggs pulsed with sickly green light in fetid water. The Valkyrion Aspirants guarding them died like any other Scourge-touched traitors: shield taking the charge, mace finding skulls. I gathered their frost oil vials and went to work.
Thirty eggs. Thirty satisfying cracks as the frost oil flash-froze the corruption within.
Some jobs are simple. Kill the corrupted. Destroy their spawn. Move on.
Thyra accepted my return without ceremony. “We cannot allow our valiant traditions to be corrupted.”
No argument here. Some traditions are worth dismembering emissaries over.
