Bring Hodir's Horn Fragments to Njormeld in Dun Niffelem.

A walk across camp. Njormeld is at the anvil on the south side. Turning in raises the rebuilt Horn of Hodir in Dun Niffelem as a permanent monument, and that monument becomes the giver for the daily that sends you back to Thunderfall to put the spirits to rest. Pays +75 reputation.

Jokkum hoped the monument would soothe old scars and buy his people a future standing beside Thorim again. Njormeld poured the fragments onto his anvil, told Vikstone what the horn had been and who had given it, and sent him away so he could work.

“Bring these fragments to Njormeld. He will use the pieces of that sacred relic in the construction of a mighty monument. May it soothe the pains and heal the scars my people have borne these many years. May its presence help to bring about a new age that sees us once again in glorious battle at Thorim’s side.

Quest Giver: King Jokkum — Dun Niffelem, Storm Peaks [65, 60]

Objective: Deliver Hodir’s Horn Fragments to Njormeld in Dun Niffelem.

Walkthrough

This is a direct turn-in quest. After completing In Memoriam, King Jokkum asks you to bring the fragments to Njormeld, the frost giant smith at Fjorn’s Anvil on the south side of Dun Niffelem.
Njormeld uses the fragments to construct a monument from the shattered Horn of Hodir. After you turn in the quest, Hodir’s Horn appears as a physical monument in the camp.

Efficiency Tips

Immediate turn-in, no travel required beyond crossing Dun Niffelem. Accept from King Jokkum, walk to Njormeld, done.
Unlocks Daily Quest: Completing this quest is a prerequisite for Hodir’s Call (formerly Blowing Hodir’s Horn), a daily quest available at Neutral reputation. The daily sends you back to Thunderfall to defeat Niffelem Forefathers and Restless Frostborn spirits, then use the ethereal horn over their corpses to put them to rest. Worth +250 Sons of Hodir reputation per day (455 in WotLK Classic with the 3.3 rep buff).
The horn monument that appears after this quest doubles as the daily quest giver, located on the south side of the camp near Njormeld.

Njormeld was at his anvil.

I found Njormeld at his anvil. When I offered the fragments, his hands stilled.

“You have brought the fragments of Hodir’s Horn, night elf?”

He took the bag and poured it out across the anvil, and his eyes went wet while he was doing it.

“The Horn of Hodir… This was a sacred gift to our people from Hodir himself. It is a relic of great importance to us.”

He moved one of the pieces with a finger and then put it back exactly where it had been.

“When you next return to our stronghold, you shall see the fruits of your labor. Farewell.”

I left him there, alone with the fragments and whatever memories they carried.

There was one more thing sitting between the frost giants and any kind of peace, and Jokkum wanted it dealt with in Culling Jorcuttar.
