Walkthrough

Accept and complete this quest by speaking to Jaloot at the Sundered Shard cave immediately after the Artruis fight. The reputation switch happens automatically upon turn-in. Act quickly and do not leave the cave.

Jaloot despawns after a short time, and more importantly, he also offers the follow-up quest Return of the Friendly Dryskin, which is required to unlock Oracle dailies. Leaving the cave before picking up Return of the Friendly Dryskin can cause the quest to become unavailable, requiring them to kill Artruis again.

After completing both quests, fly to Rainspeaker Canopy [54.6, 56.3] and speak to High-Oracle Soo-say to turn in Return of the Friendly Dryskin and unlock Oracle daily quests.

Important Notes

• No bonus rep from repeating: This quest does not grant additional reputation if you’re already Honored or higher with The Oracles. It only functions as a faction switch.
• Switching back: Kill Artruis again (respawns daily), save Zepik instead of Jaloot, and accept Frenzyheart Champion. Switching resets your previous faction’s reputation to Hated and sets the new faction to Honored. All progress beyond Honored is lost.
• Faction switch is safe: The reputation change doesn’t occur until you actually complete this quest. If the wrong NPC was killed during the Artruis fight, just wait for the respawn and try again.

Lore Context

Jaloot’s dialogue contains a notable narrative detail: he references Artruis’s taunt about the player and Zepik being former friends. Jaloot interprets this as proof that you’ve chosen the Oracles for good, asking: “Undead thing said he your friend before? I not know that. You done with puppy-men though, yeah?”

This connects back to the entire Frenzyheart chain where you hunted alongside Zepik, giving the faction choice genuine narrative weight.

Oracle Dailies at a Glance

• Three daily quests are offered each day from a rotating pool of eight, totaling 1,700 reputation per day.
• Exalted takes approximately 19 days of dailies from Honored.
• The key unique reward is the Mysterious Egg (available at Revered), which after 7 days becomes a Cracked Egg containing one of: Reins of the Green Proto-Drake (~6% chance), Proto-Drake Whelp, Cobra Hatchling, Tickbird Hatchling, White Tickbird Hatchling, or Aged Yolk (vendor trash).
