Vikstone's War Journal“I can sense the very essence of Sholazar Basin begin to fray by the blight of undeath even as we speak.”

The Etymidian’s voice resonated through the terrace.
The rune in my hand had gone warm. “I’ve bound my being into the rune,” he said, and there it was, a titan weapon that had folded itself down into something I could close a fist around.
“Deliver it to she who sent you here. For only her power can grant me passage to her lands.”
The Waygate pulled at me again. That heartbeat of dissolution, consciousness scattered and reformed, and then Sholazar’s humid air rushed back into my lungs.
The basin sprawled before me. I could see it now, what I’d been too busy fighting to notice before. Patches of earth blackened where they should have bloomed. Plants curling inward, dying from roots that touched tainted soil. The Scourge had gotten into the soil, and soil is not something you can garrison.
The Avatar waited at Rainspeaker Rapids. The blight had crept closer to her since I’d left, near enough now that the grass under her was yellow, and I wondered how much of herself she’d spent keeping it to that.
I presented the rune.
“You’ve done well. Woe unto our enemies. Woe unto those who serve the Lich King and threaten the titans’ creations.”
The rune flared in response, power answering power.
“For the Etymidian is here.”
Freya had her rune and the Etymidian had crossed an ocean inside it, so the only thing left was to point a titan weapon at the Avalanche and begin the Reclamation.
