Rhydalla gives you an imbued Seer’s Crystal (the one you collected in the previous quest, now charged with the power of the Light). You do not need to use the crystal from your inventory; simply click each glowing tombstone to trigger the investigation. All three graves are within a few steps of each other inside the graveyard:
Click all three glowing tombstones, then fly back to Crusader Rhydalla.
Returning to Rhydalla
Rhydalla notes that all three victims had sparred with and were scheduled to fight the Black Knight. Three different methods of killing, but one common thread: the Black Knight was next on each of their tournament cards. She concludes this cannot be coincidence, but still needs direct proof before moving against him.

The three deaths (burning, poison, and backstabbing) each suggest a calculated killer using varied techniques to avoid creating an obvious pattern.
It is worth noting that all three methods are associated with classic assassination or subterfuge rather than open combat, reinforcing that the Black Knight is not the honorable competitor he pretends to be.

There is a graveyard east of the grounds. Nobody brings it up while the pennants are flying.
The crystal does what she said it would do. You hold it up in front of a grave and the man’s last moments happen again in front of you, and there is no looking away partway through and no hurrying it along.
Sir Wendell Balfour burned. Lorien Sunblaze had his hands at his own throat before he understood what was already in him. Conall Irongrip turned to face something and turned too slowly, and the steel went in while he was still turning.
All three of them had been scheduled to ride against the Black Knight.
“So you say Lorien Sunblaze was done in by poison and Sir Wendell was burnt alive? Dreadful ways to die, both of them. Only Conall was killed by cold steel, and from your description, it was a coward’s strike, not honorable combat that laid him in his grave.”
Three murders and a false name still amount to nothing Rhydalla can act on, so she turns her attention to the one person who has stood beside the Black Knight through all of it, because There’s Something About the Squire.
