Objective: Kill 15 players of the opposing faction in Icecrown.

• Important: Only kills in Icecrown count. Battleground kills do not count. The Argent Tournament Grounds are a Sanctuary and PvP is disabled there.

Walkthrough

• This quest requires killing 15 PvP-flagged enemy players anywhere in Icecrown. On PvP servers, this happens naturally as both factions quest in the same areas. On PvE servers, this quest can be extremely difficult or effectively impossible, since players must manually flag for PvP and opponents are rarely flagged.
• Accept the quest and carry it passively while doing your other Icecrown dailies. If you encounter flagged enemy players at Ymirheim, the Broken Front, or near the airship routes, engage opportunistically. Trying to seek out PvP specifically is usually less efficient than letting it come to you over the course of normal questing.

Efficiency Tips

• On PvP servers, Ymirheim is the most reliable hotspot since both factions have ground staging areas nearby and cycle through the same daily quests.
• Grouping with other players doing this quest helps enormously. A coordinated group of 3-5 can clear the 15 kills quickly.
• On PvE servers, be realistic. Many players accept this quest and simply work on it over several days, picking up kills when they happen. Others abandon it entirely. There is no shame in skipping this one if your server has low world PvP activity.
• Some players on PvE servers have had success coordinating with the opposing faction in general chat or community channels to meet at a designated spot and trade kills. Not elegant, but effective.

Lore Context

The quest dialogue is some of the most aggressive faction rhetoric in WotLK. Bartlett’s Alliance version asks you to imagine “a world free of their stain” and promises your descendants will revere your memory.

Korm Blackscar’s Horde version declares “the time of tolerance for the Alliance has passed” and orders you to “break them” and “take their will to live.” Both quest givers have been radicalized by the events at the Broken Front, and their dialogue reflects it.

This quest is a direct narrative continuation of The Broken Front and Finish Me!/Avenge Me!. The Broken Front’s mutual slaughter escalated into mercy killings, which escalated into open calls for faction warfare. The Lich King barely needs to lift a finger when the Alliance and Horde are this determined to destroy each other.
