“Tools? Check. Materials? Negative. If we’re going to build this thing, you’re going to have to get me the materials. First things first, Vikstone. For the skeletal structure I’m going to need a large barrel from Nifflevar, some dark iron ingots from Valgarde, and industrial strength rope from Baleheim. Nifflevar and Baleheim are vrykul towns northwest of here. Valgarde is located in Daggercap Bay, also to the northwest.
Speak with McGoyver to get the ingots. He’ll fly you back here once you’re all done.”

Story Context
Walt is assembling materials for his infiltration suit:
“Tools? Check. Materials? Negative. If we’re going to build this thing, you’re going to have to get me the materials. For the skeletal structure I’m going to need a large barrel from Nifflevar, some dark iron ingots from Valgarde, and industrial strength rope from Baleheim.”
The barrel provides structure, the rope binds it together, and the dark iron ingots form the framework for what will become a hollow iron dwarf construct. Combined with the “skin” from the parallel quest, Walt can create a suit that lets you walk among the iron dwarves undetected.
Easter Eggs
The Six Million Dollar Man
The quest title and its parallel “We Have the Technology” directly reference the opening narration of the 1970s TV series The Six Million Dollar Man:
“Steve Austin, astronaut. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world’s first bionic man.”
Walt is essentially rebuilding you into a “bionic” iron dwarf construct.
McGoyver = MacGyver
The gnome McGoyver is named after MacGyver, the 1985-1992 TV series about a secret agent who improvises solutions using everyday materials. His in-game title is even “< Pro >” in reference to MacGyver’s legendary resourcefulness. Fitting for someone supplying parts for Walt’s improvised construct.
“Yarp” = Hot Fuzz
When you ask McGoyver for the ingots, one dialogue option is “Yarp.” This references the 2007 comedy film Hot Fuzz, where a large, simple-minded henchman responds to questions with only “Yarp” and “Narp.”

Vikstone's War JournalWalt had already cleared his workbench.

“Tools? Check. Materials? Negative.” He counted on his fingers. “For the skeletal structure I’m going to need a large barrel from Nifflevar, some dark iron ingots from Valgarde, and industrial strength rope from Baleheim. Speak with McGoyver to get the ingots. He’ll fly you back here once you’re all done.”
Nifflevar first. The vrykul there were still recovering from the harpoon bombardment, and finding an unattended barrel wasn’t difficult. The rope in Baleheim took longer. The vrykul there remembered me from the banner I’d planted in their village center, and they weren’t happy about it.
McGoyver handed over the dark iron ingots without question. The gnome seemed pleased to have someone to fly back to the outpost.
“Excellent,” Walt said. “These combined with the skin will make for a flawless clone of the constructs the iron dwarves use.”
Barrel for skeleton, rope for binding, and iron for weight. Strange ingredients for a disguise, but Walt saw what they could become. Not so different from any craft, I supposed. The raw materials never looked like the finished work.
Walt had the skeleton and wanted the skin, steel ribbing stripped off the constructs that had spent weeks burying his dig sites, and once it was on the frame We Have the Technology.
