Quest Giver: Master Woodsman Anderhol — Amberpine Lodge, Grizzly Hills [31, 59]

Objective: Drink Anderhol’s Slider Cider and use the nearby outhouse to retrieve the Partially Processed Amberseeds.

Walkthrough

Use the Outhouse

• The outhouse is located at [32, 59], just outside the building where you picked up the quest.
• Use Anderhol’s Slider Cider (provided quest item) once you’re inside. Do NOT drink it before entering; as Anderhol warns, “It works immediately.”
• Your character will sit inside the outhouse, which begins shaking violently with loud, unmistakable sound effects. Remain seated until the quest objective completes and you receive the Partially Processed Amberseeds.
• Return to Anderhol to turn in the quest.

All three ring names are scatological puns befitting the quest’s theme. None of these rings are particularly strong for their level, so pick whichever suits your spec.

The Comedy

This is one of WotLK’s most beloved quests. A few details worth knowing:

• Anderhol’s turn-in line: “Everything come out okay?” Delivered completely straight.
• The real horror: After you turn in, Anderhol and Benjamin Jacobs (the general goods vendor) have a brief exchange. Anderhol says they’ve “retrieved the amberseeds again” and tells Ben he knows the drill. Benjamin’s reply: “I know, I know. Back in the bucket….” The bucket is the same one you ate the seeds from in quest one. Every Alliance player who’s done this chain has eaten seeds that passed through previous adventurers.
• Sound effects: Your character’s sounds inside the outhouse are replaced with male Night Elf vocalizations regardless of your actual race or gender. Using /lol or /cry while inside also produces Night Elf male sounds.
• The outhouse shakes hard enough to dismount players flying near it.
• Horde players who try to interact with the outhouse get an “occupied” message and are locked out.

Efficiency Tips

• This quest completes almost instantly. Don’t overthink it: walk to the outhouse, enter, drink the cider, wait a few seconds, walk back.
• After turning in, Anderhol offers Take Their Rear! (bear flank collection) along with other quests. Grab everything available before heading out.
