Lore Context
Nalice is the black dragonflight’s ambassador to the Wyrmrest Accord, not a red dragon. She’s openly hostile and condescending, even admitting the other dragons are nervous around her.
Her greeting to players: “Does being in the presence of a Black Dragon make you nervous? Good. It should.”
This entire chain (Nalice → Serinar → back to Nalice) is a black dragonflight affair. Both NPCs are black dragons, reluctantly cooperating with the Accord to defend their own shrine from the Scourge.

Vikstone's War JournalThe Maw of Neltharion lay silent behind me. Bone ash drifted through stale air, and Rothin’s ashes had joined those of his corrupted wyrms.

“You can leave now, night elf,” Serinar said. “Go tell Nalice she missed out on a good slaughter.” He’d dismissed me the way you’d dismiss a hired sword after the contract was fulfilled.
“Oh, it’s you,” Nalice said when she saw me return. “I had hoped Serinar would simply return himself once the task was done.” She glanced past me as if expecting him to materialize. “I suppose he’s distracted by something or another to kill. He’s missing out on a gloriously messy battle!”
Her attention had already wandered elsewhere.
“Are you still here? I’m done with you.”
I left without argument. The black dragonflight had their shrine back and the Cult of the Damned had lost another foothold. The bones of Serinar’s brood would rest undisturbed.
That the dragons saw me as a useful tool rather than an ally was, in the end, irrelevant. The work was done and that was what mattered, even if no one else seemed to think so.
The Obsidian chain ends with a door shut in Vikstone’s face, and Dragonblight has ground left in it, since there is a courier’s satchel that never reached anybody and a new errand beginning with Return to Sender.
