“Since we only have three seeds, we must put them to the best possible use. Your targets are one of the reanimated frost wyrms circling to the north near Galakrond’s Rest, Turgid the Vile in the ruined barracks at the Carrion Fields to the east, and Overseer Deathgaze at Jintha’kalar far to the northeast. While the seeds would outright destroy one of the lesser Scourge, they will greatly weaken these three.
Enough so, in fact, that you should be able to handle them on your own.”

Lore Context
This quest completes Lord Itharius’s experiment with the Emerald Dragonshrine’s protective seeds.
The completion text reveals he plans to contact Ysera about the results, “if she can be coaxed from her nightmare.” This is a direct reference to the Emerald Nightmare that was consuming Ysera during this period, a plotline that wouldn’t fully resolve until the Legion expansion.

“Since we only have three seeds, we must put them to the best possible use,” Itharius said. “Your targets are one of the reanimated frost wyrms circling near Galakrond’s Rest, Turgid the Vile in the ruined barracks at the Carrion Fields, and Overseer Deathgaze at Jintha’kalar. While the seeds would outright destroy one of the lesser Scourge, they will greatly weaken these three. Enough so that you should be able to handle them on your own.”
Comforting word, should.
The frost wyrm flew above Galakrond’s Rest, casting shadows across the bone-strewn earth where the father of dragons had fallen. I waited until it swept low, then threw the first seed. It struck dead flesh and burrowed. The wyrm screamed, its wing-beats faltered, and I unmade what the Scourge had built.
Turgid the Vile waited in the ruined barracks of the Carrion Fields, Naxxramas hanging in the sky to the north. Bloated, reeking, sustained by magics. The second seed struck his chest and spread across him like rot in reverse. His movements slowed and his strength bled away. I made it quick.
Jintha’kalar lay far to the northeast, a troll ruin the Scourge had claimed. Overseer Deathgaze commanded from the northern camp, and when the final seed found him, his arrogance crumbled with his defenses.
Three seeds and proof-of-concept victories for nature’s oldest war.
“Excellent. Just as I suspected all along,” Itharius said, receiving the news. “I shall have to attempt to contact Ysera and see if she approves.” He hesitated. “If she can be coaxed from her nightmare, of course. Thank you. You have been indispensable.”
The shrine itself still wanted tending, where Nishera the Garden Keeper was losing her hold on the Cycle of Life against creatures that were supposed to be guarding it.
