Lore Context
Thassarian’s interrogation of the lich Tanathal has yielded results: “The lich has spoken. The high priests of En’kilah hold the secret to entering Naxxanar.”
The three scrolls contain words in the ancient Nerubian tongue: Sokhen, Shabtir, and Bakh. Together they form the phrase “Shabtir bakh sokhen,” which grants access to the necropolis Naxxanar floating above the Temple City. This is where the true leader of the Scourge forces in the region resides, and where Thassarian will finally confront whoever sent Unit S on their suicide mission.
Upon completion: “Excellent work. Now for one last bit of information.”

Vikstone's War Journal“The lich has spoken.” Thassarian turned from Tanathal’s floating form. “The high priests of En’kilah hold the secret to entering Naxxanar. Go to the Spire of Blood, the Spire of Pain, and the Spire of Decay. Slay each priest. Return with their scrolls.”

Three priests between us and Naxxanar… that was a problem I knew how to solve.
The Spire of Pain came first. Talet-Kha hung suspended in mystical webbing, untouchable until I hacked through the strands binding him. When he dropped, he came up casting. His scroll was the first in my pack.
The Spire of Decay reeked of rot, and Naferset stood protected by three necromancers, their chanting weaving a barrier around him. I dropped the first with a thrown axe, then charged the second before he could react. The third died trying to flee. With his protectors gone, Naferset was just another corpse waiting to happen.
The Spire of Blood was different. Andorath was San’layn, one of the darkfallen, a blood elf twisted into something far worse. His magic pulled at my veins, trying to draw the life from me. I weathered the assault, waited for the opening, then unleashed everything I had. The blow that killed him sprayed dark blood across the altar.
I returned to Thassarian with three scrolls and blood drying on my arms.
“Excellent work,” he said. “Now for one last bit of information.”
Thassarian read them aloud while looking up at the necropolis hanging over En’kilah, which is where somebody finally performs Last Rites.
