Walkthrough
This is a simple delivery quest. Walk from Mrmrglmr (northwest end of Winterfin Retreat) to King Mrgl-Mrgl (south end of Winterfin Retreat) and turn in the suit.
That’s it. No combat, no infiltration, no travel outside the camp.
Story Context: The Blackmail Ends
With Glrggl the orca king dead, Mrmrglmr has no more leverage and upholds his end of the bargain: “Very well, your king’s secret is safe with me as long as he continues to help us against our enemies.”
He returns the costume he’d been holding hostage: “Here, take this to him. I cleaned it up nicely, though I have no idea why he needs a second disguise. Maybe he has something in mind for you?”
Mrmrglmr’s observation is perceptive. Why would King Mrgl-Mrgl need a SPARE costume? He’s already wearing one…
King Mrgl-Mrgl is delighted: “<Upon seeing the spare murloc suit, the king rubs his costumed appendages together.> Nicely done. Now, back to the pressing matter at hand. I’ve got something of great importance for you to do.”
The “pressing matter” is the follow-up quest: using this spare suit to infiltrate Winterfin Caverns and assassinate Claximus.
Lore: Setting Up the Infiltration
This quest is purely setup for Surrender… Not!, where you’ll actually use the murloc costume to:
The spare suit includes a white flag, making you appear as a murloc emissary rather than a threat. You’ll use it in the next quest, not this one.
Easter Egg: Dance Party
If you try on the suit during this quest (before turning it in), the murloc dance emote is worth seeing. The costume transforms your character into a murloc, complete with all murloc emotes and animations.
You won’t get to keep the suit permanently, so enjoy the brief murloc experience while you have it.
Why Cenarion Expedition Reputation?
King Mrgl-Mrgl is identified as a D.E.H.T.A. (Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals) agent, not specifically Cenarion Expedition. However, D.E.H.T.A. appears to have organizational ties to the broader Cenarion druidic network.
The small 10 reputation reward may reflect this connection, or it may simply be a design choice to tie the Winterfin chain to an existing faction.

His bulbous eyes narrowed. “Maybe he has something in mind for you?”
I looked at the costume in my hands. It was unmistakably a murloc suit, with green corduroy, carefully stitched, complete with a visible zipper up the back. This was the same craftsmanship as the one the night elf king wore.
King Mrgl-Mrgl’s reaction confirmed my suspicions. Upon seeing the spare suit, he rubbed his costumed appendages together with obvious delight.
“Nicely done. Now, back to the pressing matter at hand. I’ve got something of great importance for you to do.”
He was looking at me. Then at the suit. Then back at me.
No. Absolutely not.
The suit fit and the white flag came with it, and all that remained was to walk into a mind-controlled village dressed as an emissary and inform the lobstrok who started this that they Surrender… Not!
