“If your pathetic little eyes were any good, you’d see that we’re being slaughtered by the orcas to the north in the bay! Assuming your precious night elf king wants his spare costume back, I think you’ll do me a favor and bring back the head of the king of the orcas, Glrggl: he who swims against the tides of fate — eradicating the hope of life for all those who hear the siren song of death upon the waves!
Be quick about it, Night Elf. Winterfin murlocs are losing their lives even as we waste time talking!”
-Mrmrglmr
Mrmrglmr wants you to return to him at Winterfin Retreat with Glrggl’s Head.

You will be able to choose one of these rewards:
You will receive:
Upon completion of this quest you will gain:
Quest Giver: Mrmrglmr at Winterfin Retreat [42, 21]
Turn In: Mrmrglmr [42, 21]
Objective: Return with Glrggl’s Head.
Quick Facts
Walkthrough
Glrggl is an orca (killer whale), not a murloc. Don’t be fooled by the murloc-sounding name. Look for a whale swimming near the surface, not a small murloc mob.
Location: Glrggl patrols around the large iceberg at approximately [39, 9], swimming in a counterclockwise circle. He swims at the surface, so watch for his dorsal fin.
Spawn Timer: Very fast. Reports range from 30 seconds to 2 minutes. If someone just killed him, wait briefly.
Easiest Strategy:
If You Can’t Find Him:
Competition Tip:
If other players are waiting, swim clockwise (against Glrggl’s counterclockwise patrol) to intercept him before they do.
Story Context: The Blackmailer’s Demand
Mrmrglmr is not subtle about his contempt: “If your pathetic little eyes were any good, you’d see that we’re being slaughtered by the orcas to the north in the bay!”
He leverages King Mrgl-Mrgl’s desperation: “Assuming your precious night elf king wants his spare costume back, I think you’ll do me a favor and bring back the head of the king of the orcas, Glrggl: he who swims against the tides of fate, eradicating the hope of life for all those who hear the siren song of death upon the waves!”
The flowery title Mrmrglmr gives Glrggl is gloriously over-the-top. This is a murloc who takes orca-killing seriously and apparently appreciates dramatic flair.
“Be quick about it, <race>, Winterfin murlocs are losing their lives even as we waste time talking!”
The orcas have been preying on the already beleaguered Winterfin refugees. Between Claximus’s mind control, the loss of their village, and now orca attacks, the tribe is facing threats on multiple fronts.
Completion: A Feast and Freedom
Mrmrglmr accepts Glrggl’s head with practical satisfaction: “Not bad. This will make a nice feast!”
(Yes, they’re going to eat the orca king’s head.)
“With the king of the orcas dead the attacks upon us should diminish while the whales fight amongst themselves for dominance.”
With your dirty work done, Mrmrglmr will finally return King Mrgl-Mrgl’s spare costume in the next quest.
Lore: The Quest Name
The quest title “Grmmurggll Mrllggrl Glrggl!!!” is pure murloc-speak, though what it actually means is left to the imagination. It’s presumably Mrmrglmr’s battlecry or curse directed at the orca king.
The quest target (Glrggl) has a name that sounds like murloc gibberish, but he’s actually an orca. The murlocs apparently named their nemesis in their own language.
Pair With: Succulent Orca Stew
If you haven’t completed Succulent Orca Stew (from Cleaver Bmurglbrm, near Mrmrglmr), pick it up before heading north. You can kill regular Glimmer Bay Orcas for Succulent Orca Blubber while hunting for Glrggl, completing both quests in one trip.

Vikstone's War JournalMrmrglmr’s demand came.

“If your pathetic little eyes were any good, you’d see that we’re being slaughtered by the orcas to the north in the bay!” He jabbed a finger toward the water. “Assuming your precious night elf king wants his spare costume back, I think you’ll do me a favor. Bring back the head of the king of the orcas, Glrggl.”
He paused, savoring the next words.
“He who swims against the tides of fate. Eradicating the hope of life for all those who hear the siren song of death upon the waves.”
I stared at him. The murloc stared back, utterly serious.
“Be quick about it, elf. Winterfin murlocs are losing their lives even as we waste time talking.”
I found Glrggl circling an iceberg in Glimmer Bay. He was large, black and white hide scarred from hundreds territorial fights. He saw me coming and didn’t flee, as apex predators often don’t.
The fight happened mostly underwater, and it was clumsy on my part. I learned that orcas aren’t built for close combat, but they don’t need to be when they outweigh you tenfold. I took a tail strike that rang my skull.
When I dragged the head back to Mrmrglmr, he inspected it.
“Not bad. This will make a nice feast.” He looked almost pleased. “With the king of the orcas dead, the attacks should diminish while the whales fight amongst themselves for dominance.”
The orca king was dinner and Mrmrglmr was satisfied, which leaves the small matter of turning a dead monarch into Succulent Orca Stew.
